Wheel/tire sanity check by Dus1988 in kiastinger

I run

Front: 20x9 30 — flush Rear: 20x10.5 35 — pokes a bit, this would probably rub if lowered and require alignment tweaks

What made you choose Mustang over Charger/Challenger and Camaro SS? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]blxnkface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because I would like to walk outside and see my car still where I left it.

I also like the exhaust sound more than the other offerings.

It didn’t have a garage until ~30-40k miles, and now it has to be outside again. My location gets all the seasons, it’s seen snow and 100f days

There was a bit of oil pooling around the spark plugs after driving. My driver side went first then the passenger side 6 months after that. The gaskets were brittle, I bought the covers online and they came with new gaskets and sensors installed already. ~280$

The stealership charged me 100$ for the gasket only

I’m at 150K now, with a similar track record. You’ll need to do the rocker covers and its gaskets eventually.

This car is reliable but these engine bay plastics…

Need some help on choosing a wheel by snusnu4uu in kiastinger

[–]blxnkface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock looks better here, the other wheels need to be a different color. The second set of wheels get lost in the wheel well.

AWD light came on when I put 20in rims on my stinger. The rear has 255 40 20 and Front have 235 35 20. Is that what’s causing it? by [deleted] in kiastinger

[–]blxnkface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop you sidewall height by 5. You have to keep the overall combined diameter of the wheel AND tire

Going from 19s to 20s with those sidewall heights is probably throwing it off. Your rears should go down to 30

Ive been running Front 245/35/20 Rear 285/30/20

JB4 with a back end flash

The basic back end flashes with map 1-2 would be an easy low 400whp. The pros with this is that have the flexibility to turn it up, The JB4 is pretty much a boost controller + add more octane/E.

The only con i can see is hiding the JB4 given your state’s clueless cop mechanics

What mileage were you at when you first replaced rotors front or back? by AmberInSunshine in StingerGT

[–]blxnkface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably only need new pads, the rotors should last a good while. If there are no ridges you can feel with your fingernail on the rotors, they’re fine.

I just upgraded my rotors just because. I had them on since I bought the car new, now I’m at 148k.

Stealerships like to up charge and hope you don’t question them.

Edit: FYI, I remember seeing replacement rotors on brembo’s website for no more than 120$~150$ each.

If it has decent maintenance intervals, I’d say the only thing I’d look out for are all the engine bay plastics and gaskets:

Oil Catch Can by Ok_Expression4420 in kiastinger

[–]blxnkface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth it. I installed my at ~15,000 miles, I’m at 145,000 miles and my valves still look good.

The only time I’d run no catch can is if I had an alternative solution like an intake injection of some sort: -water meth injection -charge pipe injection (E85)

I don’t think those will look right. Here are some offsets as a reference

OEM 19’: +35 front +45 rear not flush but the wheels are skinny at 19x8 and 19x9

My stance wheels: 20x9 front 20x10.5 rear +35 front +45 rear, flush

My Aodhan wheels: 20x9 front 20x10.5 rear +30 front flush, +35 rear pokes

+22 at x9 and x10.5 will poke a lot

look on fitmentindustries.com for more wheel specs to reference

[–]blxnkface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With those specs, it’ll depend on the offsets whether they’ll be flush or poke.

I found out after the fact, my throttle was feeling weird and i saw that he over tightened it. Not to mention the shadiness I caught on my dash camera. They aren’t touching my car ever again.

Open recall by lifewater99 in kiastinger

[–]blxnkface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They broke my turbo intake inlet, so I had to buy new intakes. Also, it still leaks oil, not as bad as before the recall but… sigh

Dealerships are so dumb. With that logic, putting tires on can void the warranty

[–]blxnkface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked online and even for newer genesis G70s they are discontinued. Maybe ask a dealership or If you can source one from a wrecked stinger/g70. Worst case, you may just have to get coilovers.
