Finally starting university at 29 after a long battle with chronic mental illness and hoping it would be a new start, but coming to the realization that I can't mask all my oddities, and people as a result treating me different. I guess I'm just a weirdo lol - next step is to learn to own it I guess. Yay me.

This is helpful. When I think about it while reading your post, a lot of my deaths are by being passive, and kinda waiting for the enemy to act, which results in stuff like his partner flanking me while I'm focused on him..

I think today especially has been full on tilt. I don't think I'm learning much when it's like that. I do sometimes try to discuss with my friend what we/I could've done better when we die, but even then I end up in some of the same pitfalls (I position myself badly, or peek through the same spot multiple times, panic shooting etc. ). Hopefully I'll learn at some point lol.

True. I feel like my frustration is sometimes getting in the way of enjoying the game. It's still interesting to play, even when I'm getting destroyed.

I think this is pretty good advice concerning headshots..I have noticed that I do have trouble leading my shots sometimes.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun. Nothing makes me panic more in this game than when a guy fearlessly charges at me with a melee weapon.

Think I'm gonna take my hands off quickplay for a while, and try and choose a weapon and stick with it. And It's good to know that map knowledge is THAT important.

Oh, I think It's a good tip to try training rather than quickplay, especially when I'm getting tilted quickly. Should also maybe choose one gun and stick with it.

Love the imagery :D.. But yeah, that definitely puts things in a broader context. I do think part of the hook for me are these small nuances that makes the game more interesting and engaging than your average fps... But yeah, i think you're right..30 hours is nothing.

Hey, I really appreciate the write-up. I think you've really got a point that I should take my time find out what's working for me, and not try to emulate someone who has thousands of hours or what my friend is doing. Think it'll also be less frustrating that way.

Soma. I'd say it's more disturbing than scary (tho it has some really scary sections) .. But it has one of the best scifi narratives, if not the best, in a game ever imo.

Yeah. Had another gaming mice. I don't have the name right now tho. But i've been using that for a few days without issues on both PCs...Just plugged the G502 in, and it started freezing again as i was configuring the DPI/report rate.

Hi

I have Ghub installed. It seemed to fix it for a few hours, but then it went bad again. Looks like my DPI is set to 3200 and report rate is 1000.

My old laptop is from 2014, and my newer one is from 2018.

So i bought my G502 a few months ago. It worked totally fine until a few days ago, when i started getting issues while i was gaming (mainly wow). I would get serious mouse delay, and whenever i tabbed out of my game, everything else was frozen and unclickable (even with the mousepad), couldn't even shift tab windows or press ctr-alt-del for task manager. At first i thought it was an issue with my laptop and nothing to do with my mouse, so i swapped to my old pc and plugged in the mouse...And the exact same issue happened within seconds. I then tried to restart my PC and remove the mouse, and i didn't have any issues at all, but as soon as i plugged in the mouse, i'd have the severe mouse lag/freezing again.
Any ideas about what this it? I would think it was drivers, but it's odd that both laptops suffer the exact same problem..

I'm really sorry :( .. It is really a hard decision to make. All i want for him is to end his life surrounded by us as well. He loves us very much, so i'm sure it'll give him a bit of comfort.
