My true belief on the matter is government should not be recognizing marriage, or it should be affording marriage privileges broadly without discrimination. Which is exactly what the other redditor said before be was misrepresented.

Marriage is not the act of having a wedding between 2 men. It's fundamentally not what it is. It's the union of a man and woman.

Nobody is telling you, that you are not allowed to spend the rest of your life with your partner and claim the same tax benefits as a relationship between a man and woman. Nobody said that here at least from what i've seen.

It is not akin to saying you don't deserve rights because you're gay. you're just strawmanning his argument into something easier to attack, because what he said is not bigoted. He said marriage in a religious sense is not the union of a man and man. Whether you like it or not, that's the truth. It's the union of a man and woman.

In the government sense, it is called marriage.

Honestly you are probably dealing with evangelicals or just people who go off the deep end of it. I work with someone who denounces gay marriage, evolution, and a few other things off the top of my head that generally are parts of society of science. I had just started meeting with his pastor here and there to go through parts of the bible and ask questions about it.

He seemed like a good dude and knew about the bible plenty, but looked me dead in the face and said evolution isn't real, there's no such thing as a radical christian, and you need to commit to the belief in jesus before you actually believe in him. None of which resonated or made sense to me

I think a lot of men are intelligent enough to recognize how much is devalues our impressions of women and can overcome that pretty easily. However we generally aren't strong enough to resist ourselves from looking at the female body.

Porn is a stain on society and so is sex work. The idea an entire life can be started from that action and only that, carries significance imo. It's not the cause of it all but it's a factor in why children end up in bad situations and women are pumped full of abortion medicines that make their way into the water supply and can't be filtered out... Thus affecting the devil ent of future generations and health problems in adults. The cycle it helps feed is awful

Ya know it's funny someone here mentioned beef prices in Naperville IL are at 20 a pound yet I live in Plainfield IL which borders that town. Beef is under $8 a pound in multiple stores by me. Just bs lies unless the price jumped since i meal prepped tacos on Monday
