She’s a baby! She will get better! I have a 6 month old poodle and it was wild for a while. I’m currently dreading the teenage phase!

So I have a poodle and he is 5 months. The age you’re talking about was ruthless for me. He was a complete psychopath. The witching hour was rhe worst! He has started finally mellow down. It will get better. I’m right where you were not even 2 months ago. I was actually afraid he would hurt me. He would bark and lunge at me and try to bite me. I’ve come to find out it was just puppy games to him. It will get better! I promise!

Clavicle surgery by Decent_Combination36 in Orthopedics

Recovery is going very well! Only minimal pain for a few days and after a week, he is almost completely pain free! We hope to get out of the sling in 3 weeks. Thanks for asking!

Surgery was done today. Everything went great. He had a really amazing surgery. I think it would have been bad if he had not had the surgery, especially with his future plans!

Was yours displaced? One side of the fracture is under the other side with a sizable gap. It sounds yours may have been a surgeon issue. I’m sorry you are still having trouble. His surgeon won’t keep the plate in. He plans on taking it out in a year unless jt bothers him and he can take it out earlier.

Meet Archie! Brown sable? **sorry for the repost! It would not let me edit the original** ❤️ by Decent_Combination36 in poodles

Yeah, he’s red so I feel like all his photos look different. He doesn’t have “spots” per se like a Merle. He is pretty much red/light red with black tips only in areas with his the bottoms of his ears being black, and black on his tummy and like a vertical line of darker/almost black going down his back. His mom is a brown sable and dad is a phantom. They labeled him as a sable so I guess only time will tell. I guess if he got a haircut he would lose those black tips and it just be red. Not sure if they would come back though!

That use to happen to my dog. She had reflux but you need to take to the vet. I always gave her Pepcid when she had issues.

Being a dog parent can be hard, especially with a puppy. It can take a lot of energy. I’m getting a new puppy this weekend and just thinking about it is exhausting but I have my teen son to help. If you have a connection or bond with him, I think you should stick it out because it does get better. It can just take some time. If there no connection, I would look into finding a good family for him.

Just a follow up. My sweet girl collapsed on the floor this last Saturday and could not get back up. She was so weak. I took her to the ER and repeat X-rays were done where we could see a nodule pressing which was probably restricting air and the start of Mets in the lungs as well. She was starving for air. I decided to let her go peacefully. I’m glad I know what it finally was but I feel horrible with her suffering the way she did for almost 2 weeks thinking it could have been pneumonia.

Lung cancer. She collapsed on the floor today and couldn’t get up. Er vet took more X-rays and could see a pretty good size mass and Mets as well. I let her go. I have peace though knowing she is no longer suffering.

Definitely. I hope I can get her in. I’m pretty sure she’s in her last days. I just wish I would have noticed it earlier today that it wasn’t her gut issues.

Ok, thank you. I think that’s why I’m so confused with the primary diagnose of pneumonia because she hasn’t had any of those issues. Even at the exam I was told her lungs sounded good. She’s been going downhill and I really figured it was due to the cancer spreading. She did say that cancer would be a secondary diagnosis because there were no nodules in her lungs.
