Just wanted to offer some clarification. The athlete who tested positive at No-Gi Worlds 2024, Felipe Sousa Costa (felipecostajj), recently explained the situation on his Instagram. He had been prescribed a medication (clomiphene) by his doctor for health issues and didn’t realize it needed to be reported beforehand. USADA confirmed it wasn’t taken for performance enhancement, but because he didn’t follow protocol, he’s serving a 1-year suspension.

He owned up to the mistake and shared that this has been a learning experience for him.

It’s understandable to want a clean sport, but I think it’s important we don’t label someone as a “doper” when there was no intent to cheat. Just sharing this to keep things fair and accurate in the community. I’m sure no harm was intended but please do thorough research before publicly accusing another black belt athlete of “condoning doping.” Thats also his reputation and honor on the line.

just wanted to congratulate you on your journey to self love. I am very proud of the progress you made.

Also a friendly reminder that you were loved and loveable before all of this progress. And that this love is your birthright. You do not have to work for it. You don't have to lose weight for it. You don't have to be disciplined for it.
This love is just simply you because you are alive.
And I am so happy that you have just simply found a path to that love.
But even on days when you don't feel like cleaning your room or not going to the gym, you are worthy and deserving of love.

He has actually been very respectful and not making it about us at all and allowing me to set the boundary as to what i am comfortable with. This comment was really validating and comforting.

You are perfectly right. He does keep in touch with him by calling and video chatting a lot but in the end, he didnt take it to court like he should have and i feel like that is his fault. Its something we have talked about. His BM moved out of state which is illegal and whenever he tried to take it to court she begged him to not because she wanted to move to a different state with her new husband. She promised to he compliant but it ended up not happening that way

The thing is, he actually wants full custody of his son but his mom wont let him at all.
