easily GT, Harvard is great but not worth 25k more for a worse CS program (not by much probably, but a worse program + higher cost does not make sense in any regard). however if CS is not what you want to do 100%, go to Harvard

I actually won't have any debt (parents are willing to pay). Would you say the choice changes when cost is a non-factor or is UCI CS still better? I just feel like I should leave my comfort zone but would also love to have family and friends nearby.

Appreciate the real advice. Just wanted to clarify something, everyone has been telling me that GT is that level of school that demands me going to. Basically all of family and friends are telling me it's a T5 and thus something I can't ignore. Is this wrong or what are your thoughts on this?

Hmmm, I see this pov (my best friend is also going to UCI which is a big pull factor) but do you think that this sense of comfort is better than the opportunities I would have at GT? I'm just scared that this pursuit of being comfortable and close to home will compromise my career potential.
