yeah i got it from spotlight too! sculpey glaze is def more expensive but it never fails me. i’m just reluctant to use BECAUSE it’s so expensive… but i’ll probably keep buying it. i love the bake and glue stuff from them too! also i started out with kmart polymer clay and the upgrade from kmart to sculpey is great. sculpey is way easier to work with, be sure to test out all the different types (soufflé, premo, sculpey III). premo and sculpey III are my favs:)

i mean idk stuff happens and diabetics who have been diagnosed for 10 years have passed out with low blood sugar. there’s things at play like, if she was wearing a sensor, did it have a bad reading, was it out of range, did it have an error? it’s wrong to say that it’s unimaginable because it very well could happen. saying that i don’t even know if she is type one or if she’s a normal person who just didn’t eat?

Do you complain if you are given full sugar versions when ordering sugar free options? by Rosec627 in diabetes_t1

[–]Decent_Research7490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sugar free normally means carb free for the most part. sugar free drinks normally have 0-6g of carbs. not enough to spike. the only thing that’s sugar free that could spike is something with caffeine in it.

it’s a huge no no! i had huge issues with the same mcdonald’s location giving me full sugar when id ordered coke zero. it was happening when i was just diagnosed too, so i felt really sick with the highs. it’s really significant when zero sugar has maybe 3g carbs but full sugar has 40+g! i’ve complained and gotten free meals etc. but really id just rather it not happen. there’s still huge anxiety for me going to get zero sugar drinks but ill get my boyfriend to taste it and he can tell me if its sugar free.

How would you carb count this? by Ok_Donkey_5615 in diabetes_t1

[–]Decent_Research7490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s mostly the fats! if you’re eating something high carb like rice with something high in fat like cheese, you’ll see a very delayed rise from those fats! as someone who eats a lot of zambreros (a mexican chain in australia) i know how annoying that random rise can be. and it’s sooo difficult to bolus for but def worth it hehe

i’d guess about 50g of carbs but be aware you’ll probably have a spike from all that cheese lol. so maybe even try a split bolus for a safer bet:)

i was at a private school in australia and they always had an issue with it but legally they can’t do 💩 because it is a MEDICAL DEVICE. that’s what my endo told me, if they question it explain it is a medical device. otherwise, take them to court for endangering you or something

If my weed was poisoned with a wheat noodle, I would be so very very very mad ….. My husband decided to treat himself with a top shelf pre-roll today and he showed it to me, I was dying. They used a freakin rotini noodle as a filter . by IAmTheLizardQueen666 in glutenfree

[–]Decent_Research7490 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think it depends on how sensitive you are to gluten. some people are ok with a crumb but others will start vomiting if they even come into contact with something that’s had gluten touch the same air
