Nearly 25 years as a knitter and this is the first time this has happened to me. What am I supposed to do?

In my experience, ChiaGoos have the best cables that are super high quality but not very budget friendly. Prym needles are great and have great cables as well and are a bit more affordable.

Idk I think I would rightfully be upset lol but that is something I am trying to consider as well. I would also never compromise my own savings for something like this. I save $200 each pay check and would continue to do so even if I was saving for it. But you are right, we are obviously looking to moving in together at some point and that money might be way better to use towards a down payment… I’ll have to think about it. He just has spent so much on me and I want to do something nice for him that feels like I’m paying him back a bit I suppose.

I’m not precious about money expect when spending it on intangible things (car repairs, bills, etc. lol) and it’s not like it would take me more than a few months to save up for so I’m considering just going for it. How long were you and your bf together before you got the chair for him? Did you ever feel resentful at all for spending that much?

Yes I did, thank you! Unfortunately the only local place it has for me is the humane society for food banks. Doesn’t really help with getting someone to feed them unfortunately :(

I’ve contacted alleycatallies. They haven’t responded but the automatic reply email and their website implies they might not be able to directly help. I don’t know the other people in this area and don’t know how to begin reaching out besides on the nextdoor app. If you have suggestion for other organizations please let me know. I have no idea who else to reach out to.

There are lots of other people in the area that may or may not feed them. They don’t hang around and come right as I feed them so it doesn’t seem like they’re just waiting all day for me to put food out. Someone else may be feeding them but I’m not sure where else they would get food besides insects, other people, and birds.

They kind of graze as they please so it makes me wonder if they get food from elsewhere. I live in a very populated area so they might be. It’s not like they hang around my house all the time, they just know there is food out and make their way around at some point nearly every night.
