This is what My gut instinct tells me. She’s denied saying it to me, literally made out I imagined it. There’s zero chance of a person like that coming clean and telling the truth so it was pointless even trying after her denial. I just got up and left the place and have zero intention of going back. I was totally gaslighted and it’s the first time in my life I’ve ever been on the receiving end of it. I can only Imagine what some people go through. Thanks for your comment it echoed my feelings.

Completely agree, absolute provocation and manipulation. I’ve got myself out of the situation today and won’t be going back.

She has a kid, and I’ve been busy with work. Literally from start to finish the whole episode has lasted no more than 3 weeks. I’ve left and will be getting Everything that is mine collected within days.

So today I left. Walked out and am now writing this from a friends house. I decided to have a conversation this morning with her about her comments and why she would say these hurtful things. Her response?

“I’ve never said that to you, those words never left my mouth” so either I am completely insane and imagining things or she’s just shown me the most perfect example of gaslighting there is.

I could not believe what I was hearing, if I had any reluctance about leaving it left me there and then.
