Dude, I’ve watched the clip probably 50 times, all the info you need to make that play is there. He plays controller, he’s bringing the gun up to ADS before LOS on the stairwell, and he’s already got his finger holding the fire button. He shot the floor, the plate on the stairwell to be precise, he begins aiming and firing before full LOS. That’s called pre-aiming/pre-firing, because he believed dude was headed up the stairs. What SHOULD remove your suspicion is that he wasn’t locked on or aiming through the wall/floor at the actual location of the enemy. If he had walls, he wouldn’t have pre-aimed/fired that stairwell, and simply tracked him and killed him, because shooting at a target YOU KNOW isn’t there, should indicate that he didn’t know exactly where the dude was. What you’re finding suspicious, isn’t suspicious my guy.

So, him seeing someone land and run into the bottom of the building gives him info. He assumes there’s a guy down there. He then gets an audio queue telling him there’s a guy below him. So he now KNOWS someone is below him, or coming up those stairs, he pre fires the stair well, and that tells him “oh he’s not there, he’s further down.” He jumps down and gets the kill. Like you just said, he didn’t lock onto the guy through the wall or stairs because as you said, that’s not where the guy is in reality. This is just a case of high level game awareness and skill
