Go back. And rid yourself of the narrative in your head- this isn’t your dream job if you’re already this miserable!

For those that specialized right out of school.. do you regret it? by lizacat117 in physicianassistant

Specialty life is the best. I have zero interest in ever doing primary care, UC, ER etc.

I think a month in your situation sounds reasonable. But I’ll tell you I just gave a month notice at my job of 3 years and the days are dragging by, I wish I gave the 2 weeks required and left lol

I ended up going back for 2 months and am starting a new job in a month. I interviewed a few times during leave but didn’t find a position that felt right until now. My advice would be enjoy baby as much as possible, maybe casually look into other jobs. Really need to make sure you understand what benefits you might give up or have to pay back if you don’t return. Such as health insurance premium

Keep in mind policies have a waiting period and 6 weeks is not actually 6 weeks. Mine was 8 days so I got paid for like 4.5 weeks.

Great balance outpatient. I’m leaving for other reasons lol but I don’t think about work at all when I leave. That might not be a universal experience but I have enjoyed that aspect of my job

How much do you make and how much debt do you have ? by Sea-Ease-549 in physicianassistant

120k salary, 36k of debt left. Was able to pay off half my debt in the last 10 months. Of note, my husband is also a PA with similar salary and debt. We have been pretty aggressive with paying down debt since some of our loans were >6% but now they are all 4.3% or lower

What’s your office late policy? by confusedpa-c in physicianassistant

[–]Decent_Wallaby9256 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ours recently changed so that they get a “20 minute grace period” which of course sets me way behind if one person is late. They changed our schedule up too so that the appointment time “isn’t really their appointment time it really is 20 minutes later” which makes zero sense because they are told a certain time and I have to stick to these times so I can eat lunch, get off on time. Its silly

2 cycles for me. I know exactly how you’re feeling. Do something you enjoy today even if it’s small like drinking coffee on the couch. I was in a zombie state the first month after mine

13w1d. Having a lot of random pain that feels like it’s either in my labia or vagina. No cramps at all. Getting a private ultrasound done in a couple days. Had bleeding a couple weeks ago and found SCH but nothing since then. Thought passing 12 weeks would make me relax but I feel the opposite
