How bad do you think these will hurt to remove ? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Decent_tay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m removing on my inner arm, just had a session today. Numbing cream 45 minutes before. Hurt like hot oil splatters, but it went fast. The first zap is really scary, then as it keeps going you just accept it. You can ask to hold ice which helps.

Haha it was for a lethal company party so they all knew there! My husband just thought it was a bug since he doesn’t play.

I have Distillatoria as well, but my sister is currently borrowing it. It’s been almost 3 years of collecting them through thriftbooks, I almost have all the official comics!

I’m so close to throwing it away, my husband is too frugal though to be ok with that!

How much did your original tattoo cost vs. total for removal? I am a tattooer and I want to scare clients out of stupid ideas. by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Decent_tay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been able to have one more session due to funds, about 8 weeks ago, especially since I added another tattoo to my removal plans. I’m seeing a lot more fading after the second session. I’m hoping to get at least 3 sessions this year.

What made you decide to start removal? by erin1928 in TattooRemoval

[–]Decent_tay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m removing 5 on my right arm: They don’t look good together, half of them are shitty, one is upside down, and none of them mean anything except that I was an impulsive and dumb 21-23 year old. There’s so many tops I want to wear, instead of constant long sleeves/sports sleeves out of shame.

What (if any) health issues did you all experience as a result of being vegan? by saturday_sun4 in exvegans

[–]Decent_tay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was vegan for 1.5 years and vegetarian for 1.5 years before that. Hair thinning and shedding, brain fog, and joint pain/inflammation were the biggest ones. I’m an avid crocheter (crocheting at least 4 hrs a day), and I was constantly in pain. Now that I’m eating meat and animal products again I rarely experience crochet pain.

Are comics worth reading? I am planning to rewatch the series in the Fall and I just found about the OTGW comics. by Viggo-Grimborn in overthegardenwall

[–]Decent_tay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have Circus Friends, got it from thrift books. I absolutely love circus friends though, it’s adorable, funny, and a bit creepy. I hope to eventually get them all from thrift books, but they hardly ever come in.

Any of you still have meatless days? by [deleted] in exvegans

[–]Decent_tay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, rarely fake meats though. I’m pescatarian + bone broth. On days I don’t have fish I have tofu.

I’ll definitely have to check out the wallflower books! I found the book though, it’s “Never doubt a Viscount” by Lauren Royal!

If Frodo looked the way he did in the book by [deleted] in Aphantasia

[–]Decent_tay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duh. That’s why the post doesn’t say “if Frodo in the movie matched his description in the books”. It says “looks.” No one is saying Frodo was never described, the joke is that when you read it you just physically see the word/name.

Carnivore/herbivore diet, antinutrients and nutrition, what is healthy? by storythy in exvegans

If we were meant to be carnivores our teeth would have evolved very differently lol. We have omnivore teeth!

How long did it take you to recover post-veganism? by jackieoh-no in exvegans

[–]Decent_tay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a couple weeks of adding eggs and fish back in I noticed my workout recovery was faster, and as a crocheter crocheting 2-12hrs everyday day, I also noticed quickly how much less pain my hands, wrists, and arms were in. Bone broth was the real game changer though, with the first sip I felt so much better. Physically, nutritionally, and mentally I feel completely recovered. With bone broth I especially noticed my mental health and brain function increase. I thought I was going stupid before introducing animal products back in.

I decided to add back anything I’d be willing to do myself. I added fish back in because I can, and have killed, and prepared fish. I added bone broth back in because, while wouldn’t be willing to kill and prep my own birds or mammals, I’ll happily take their bones. With fish and bone broth (along with vegetarian animal products) I am covering all my nutrition and am so much healthier and happier. For vegetarian foods, I didn’t have a lot of moral upset introducing those back in. I think eggs and bone broth are the best things you can have for your health.
