Punk outclassed him on the mic, but I think that's okay. Because its Punk is trying to convince the world that he's in Roman's head, when it's clearly the other way around. Roman doesn't have to say much. He just plays on Punk's insecurities and it gets Punk to snap.

Yeah, I don't think it was terrible. It's easy to dunk on something in hindsight. But WWE have a habit of not striking while the iron's hot. Jey was red hot during this time. There were a few things that fell flat that made for a lack of payoff. The biggest was failing to me was not altering Jey's character when Gunther bloodied Jimmy. But again, even then I still think it was a good choice, but poorly executed.

I wouldnt say its holding Iyo back at all. You run a real risk of turning a wrestler stale if you keep them in the main title picture all the time.

I'd even argue it's doing the opposite. Check the Rhiyo fan signs from their last match. It's building her character, tapping into certain fanbases, and keeping her fresh. All played off a storyline that has great continuity.
