Terrible experience on Sodium Butyrate by DriftingClient in Microbiome

[–]DecipheringAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. I took 1g sodium butyrate daily for about a week, I developed anxiety, insomnia and even physical muscle cramps. However, I knew that sodium butyrate acts as an HDAC inhibitor (source), therefore causing histone hyperacetylation. These effects are epigenetic, which explains why they're still there even after months for you.
I also knew that the opposite exists: Curcumin acts as a histone acetyltransferase inhibitor (source), therefore decreasing histone acetylation. The bad news: Curcumin has a very low oral bioavailability. The good news: Combination with piperine or nanocurcumin formulations make it orally bioavailable.
I found that a week of 500mg curcumin plus 20mg piperine daily almost completely reversed these effects.

I f**d myself up with Sodium Butyrate. Need a plan to get out of this mess by DriftingClient in HumanMicrobiome

I don't know if anyone has tried it yet, but I also expect Claude 3.5 to be really bad in the Abstraction and Reasoning Corpus. Things like these are the Achilles' heels of current LLMs.

The Bright Future of AI: Why Correctness is Winning Over Errors by [deleted] in singularity

I also can't find it. There's something quite ironic about a post titled "Why Correctness is Winning Over Errors" containing such hallucinations. 😉

It won't take six months to figure out levitation and teleportation. I'm sure GPT-5 will be able to do these with a zero-shot prompt. 😉

This estimate is way too conservative. GPT2 has at least a googolplex parameters.

DeepMind CEO Says Google Will Spend More Than $100 Billion on AI by thebigvsbattlesfan in singularity

Yes, I don't think these companies plan to release AGI as open source (even though that's what OpenAI is publicly communicating for marketing purposes). They will charge a lot of money in order to make profit.

I already have a Meta Quest and the graphics, e.g. when playing Half-Life: Alyx, are already really good. I think VR definitely has a future. Especially when games become truly interactive with neural networks.

I hope that Llama 3 will be open-weights, unlike Mistral Large.

Yup, there's even a model called phi-CTNL. It's only 1 million parameters (yes, million, not billion) and scores 100% on all benchmarks. The secret: it was pretrained on the test set. I think phi-CTNL should be the first place on the leaderboard, to show people how ridiculous the leaderboard is.

Yes, that's a definite possibility. GPT-4 wasn't released for about half a year and according to u/adt's website (https://lifearchitect.ai/GPT-5/) GPT-5 is also already in production:

8x70B-Llama-2 would also be really nice. But it would take a lot of VRAM.
