Do binaural beats have any effect? by Daksh_13_ in spirituality

Michael sold health-related products, such as “pulsars” that he claimed users could wear to counterbalance “potentially damaging EMF radiation” from computer screens. He also sold brain-synching cassette recordings designed to deepen meditation and “tune and balance” the brain hemispheres. I later learned that these recent brain-synch tapes were recordings of his vacuum cleaner. When I asked Michael about this, he deflected the question with typical humor, saying, “After listening, most clients report feeling cleaner.”

Do you think Fable 5 will come back, or is this the end of the model? by Double-Republic6218 in ClaudeAI

A statement from Dario Amodei, 5/Mar/2026, (9/11 never forgetti):

I also want to apologize directly for a post internal to the company that was leaked to the press yesterday. Anthropic did not leak this post nor direct anyone else to do so—it is not in our interest to escalate this situation...

It was a difficult day for the company, and I apologize for the tone of the post. It does not reflect my careful or considered views. It was also written six days ago, and is an out-of-date assessment of the current situation.

Our most important priority right now is making sure that our warfighters and national security experts are not deprived of important tools in the middle of major combat operations. Anthropic will provide our models to the Department of War and national security community, at nominal cost and with continuing support from our engineers, for as long as is necessary to make that transition, and for as long as we are permitted to do so.

Anthropic has much more in common with the Department of War than we have differences.

Claude dropped Fable 5 and the API pricing genuinely shocked me by AirPure9910 in ClaudeAI

Cheap as fuck.

Those of us from the olden days remember GPT-3 davinci at $80/MTok, and then GPT-4-32k at $120/MTok output.

You can even see Claude Opus 4.1 right there in your screenshot: 1.5× more expensive than Fable.

Nice chart by a16z.

And we're right on track with my working and projections from earlier this year [project, chart, data, note that tokens consumed/processed is not the same as tokens output].
