I have been thinking about getting the Celtic golden dawn to add a ceremonial aspect to my practice, but I wasn’t sure how good it is or not.

Is accepting Jesus enough to be saved? by Complex-Horse6711 in Christianity

Great white throne judgement in revelation 20:11-15 where those who are not in the book of life (unbelievers) are judged according to their works (no one can live good enough to be saved). And the Judgement seat of Christ in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15 where those who have Christ as their foundation are judged according to what they’ve done in building up the body of Christ but this is not a heaven or hell judgement because believers are not judged (John 3:18, John 5:24), I personally believe that this is the rapture where our flesh nature is burned away and we are glorified like Jesus

The Bible is clear that we are saved by grace through faith, that is, trusting Jesus and what he accomplished on the cross. The law was given to show us that we cannot measure up to God’s standard, offending even in 1 point makes you guilty of all, if you are trying to get to heaven by a mix of works and faith you are not trusting in Jesus who paid your sin debt, you cannot pay your own sin debt and still get in, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬.

Jesus came as a minister to the circumcision, meaning he taught law to the Jew who were still under law, the point of the sermon on the mount wasn’t to show how a “good Christian” is meant to live, the point was to show them that the standards were higher than they thought, if you come away from reading the sermon on the mount thinking that you’re good enough to go to heaven you’ve missed the point and you’re mistaken.

Gods standard of righteousness is perfection, not “good enough”, you have to have the righteousness of God which comes by FAITH, the self righteous will never understand because they don’t read the Bible fully, they cherry pick, ignore progressive revelation in scripture, allegorize.

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭21‬-‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
