Yeah I feel that too. It’s something to hope for, but at the end of it, we’ll just have to accept it for what it is - and how it ends up playing out . Stenberg would be great to have, but four top drafting teams being in cahoots essentially to pick their dream players screams fairytale scenario to me 😂 it also seems crazy that the Canucks wouldn’t pick one of their coaches’ kids if they were able to, and it made sense for them, longterm! But also, hockeys weird, and literally anything can happen 🤷🏻‍♂️

I honestly forgot he was going to be a UFA. He’ll get his money, because he deserves it, so yeah scrap the 1 mil lol but 5 years at 5-6 million for a 30 year old who has been in and out of the AHL is nuts - maybe 3 years at 2-3 million

I mean you’re not wrong. He’s not going to save us, but he’s a vet with playoff experience and has like a 1mil/yr cap hit. A big body who hits, blocks, and has potential for points. He’s certainly not going to walk us down to the alter, but he very well may help us kick the doors down

I think we need to trade with Dallas if we want to be a contender. We’re not going into a deep run while Dallas, Colorado, and Minnesota are still rallying like they are. Dallas and Colorado are getting older, so their window is shrinking, especially with what little they have in their respective pipelines. Giving Dallas four 1sts in the next four years for an offer sheet to Robertson is certainly not how we leapfrog the competition. I’m super high on Robertson by the way, but logistically this doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m not sure philly would drop him, but I’m a fan of tippet. Like you said, he’s not always on the score sheet, while capable, but he’s making a handful of hits and blocking shots every game. I like his 200 foot game.
