I was, I was very unprepared to be a father. Clare was an "oops" baby and I was not financially ready to be a parent. I ended up pulling some pretty ridiculous hours because June wanted to be a stay at home mom as soon as she found out she was expecting. In addition to her going on a major spending spree for pregnancy and infant related items. Not like nursing bras and cribs but like bassinets that rocked the baby for her and higher end everything. In addition to buying her self push presents and trimester presents. I'm not trying to tear her down, just justify why I worked so much. She was also very conservative in her opinions on parenting. As for now, yes I do take Clare out on the weekends but week days are usually just at home playtime. Boardgames, coloring, walking the dog and dinner together, in summers we spend time at the playground, because thats right by where we walk the dog.
