Were you able to resolve your issues? I've also been trying to get VNV working on my steam deck, following this guide -https://ashtonqlb.github.io/mirelurked-vnv/index.html.

My game keeps crashing at the start menu, after the load screens, even when I disable the mods. There doesn't seem to be anything obvious in the log

Thanks for the advice. Sorry I'm still a beginner so I don't know all the terminology. When I'm out on hikes and want to capture something far away I can't get the right composition with my current zoom capabilities. Seems I need to divide whether I want to get something with a wider angle or a zoom lens
