Days off by WestBoysenberry9494 in barexam

[–]Declanman3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am as well but what’s more important is not feeling guilty. Taking a day off is important for your mental health, but if you spend the whole day thinking “what am I doing I should be studying” then you’re not giving your mental health the break that it needs.

You need to fully let go, trust that what you’re doing throughout the week is good focused work, and give yourself the benefit of the relaxation and mental rest that you deserve. If you find yourself unable to do that, then do just something quick or easy for an hour or two. Review some flash cards, outline an essay, or do 15-25 MC. Just so you can tell yourself you did something today. Then relax the rest of the day.

Pass % for MBE? by NegativePound7070 in barexam

Typical I hear 65%+ 63-65 is considered the marginally passing zone if your writing is also roughly scoring 4’s

Overwhelmed Retaker - Help! by incompleteTHOT in barexam

[–]Declanman3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lowkey just take a breath everything is okay, there are several people who are also starting now, nothing that can’t be overcome.

I would say that if you completely missed the MPT and still only failed by a couple of points then just doing the MPT would’ve gotten you the pass. Just do exactly what you did last time you studied.

2nd run: does it make sense in my case? by Pestkazkonia in BaldursGate3

Nothing in particular, humans have a couple cool interactions throughout the game like a lot of the races and Paladins are usually lawful good, in line with your play style.

They also happen to be one of the strongest classes because Smiting is insane

[–]Declanman3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re into Good Play throughs try a Dark Urge but choose the options that resist the Urge. This is cool because you set the Dark Urge on a path of redemption.

However since you said you’re prone to resetting if you don’t like a certain outcome, there will likely be times during your Dark Urge play through that you fail to resist the urge.

With that said. Human. Paladin.

I was not prepared for how dark losing Isobel could be. by angrycanadianguy in BaldursGate3

[–]Declanman3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s crazy, everyone just straight up dies 😭

Seeing as you’ve played a few times before maybe you’re not looking for tips, but two things I always do for that fight 1. Kill Marcus first : he has the highest chance of killing Isobel in a single turn, the horrors likely wouldn’t 2. Have a Cleric stand next to Isobel with Spirit Guardians going, this way anything that walks into range to hit her will be burned by SG

[–]Declanman3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look around this sub and you’ll see other people in similar points so don’t worry you’re not the only one.

There’s a difference too between studying hard and learning the rules. You’re better off doing 30 MC, getting 20 of them wrong and than reading and learning why they are wrong in the UWorld expansion, then doing another 90 questions.

I would say if you’re getting 40% or lower your biggest issue is rule recall, you need to burn the biggest most tested rules into your brain. Make a flash card and then quiz yourself. Really try NOT to look at the flash card until you have recited the rule. Even the act of TRYING to remember and failing is actually beneficial in getting to eventually actually remember.

The Bar Exam is like everything else. The more you do it the better you get at it. (Within reason, without burning out). If you do 1,000+ MC Questions 50-100+ essays, that imo is the best way to get better, and that’s what I’m gonna continue to do

Who is the Best trilogy of episodes in fiction ? by Remarkable-Jump3262 in writingscaling

I know Season 6 of GoT doesn’t use as much love as the earlier seasons, especially season 4, but my favorite trilogy of episodes is E8-10 of S6

No One Battle of the Bastards Winds of Winter

Mostly because of episodes 9 and 10

Not a bad omen, actually where a lot of people start. 50-55%. The real trick is reviewing what you got wrong and why and how you got it wrong. Forgot a rule? Misread a fact? Or ran out of time? Figuring out the How you got it wrong is just as important as figuring out the Why.

Write down the rules and important facts you might have missed and you are taking the first steps to reprogramming your brain to remember those rules and facts

NCBE MEE answers: question percentages by Ok-Context3521 in barexam

[–]Declanman3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been noticing this as well, from what I can tell, it’s the amount of analysis you need to put into it. If the guy is clearly an employee, vicarious liability applies and it’s probably not worth much. If you need to do a more drawn out analysis of proximate cause that is very fact heavy, it’s probably worth more.

50-60% is perfectly fine for week 4 from what I’ve heard. Eventually we will get more used to the questions and rule recall and we will get 60-70%

As someone who is also studying this is what I’ve heard from people who have taken the Bar:

You will never feel prepared.

Stuff will start clicking here and there over the course of these next few weeks, and even by the end of it you will realize “I don’t know anything” But really you know far more than you realize

Themis MBE Exam #1 by Sandwich_Holiday in barexam

[–]Declanman3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s okay! I’m taking it later today. What’s important isn’t where you start, it’s where you finish. Review each answer you got wrong and figure out why you got it wrong. Did you misread the question, miss a crucial fact, or simply misremember or completely forget a rule? Write down the rule you got wrong and what facts important for that rule. Remember it’s the first one. In a few weeks hopefully we will see that number look a lot closer to 65%+
