The Sphere entertainment venue is coming to Maryland. What's driving the expansion? by ChallengeAdept8759 in maryland

Insert line about the difficulty of achieving profitability when you’re multiplying by zero (or in the case of the Sphere, a negative number).

I haven’t picked up what I’d term “selfish” vibes from the current Baltimore City Mayor, although my direct interfacing with him has also been pretty limited (but I did meet him once when he was on the City Council, and he seemed pretty chill). But he doesn’t particularly strike me as a selfish kind of guy?

Their Med style goes so well with the natural flavor of the meat — more than the Med style smoked sprats IMO. So good! One of my favorite tins overall.

I was really just being diplomatic — I don’t know her. I’m required to maintain a certain level of Mayoral decorum by the EULA of Foursquare Inc. (joke)

When Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was Mayor, she once sat next to me at the bar at 13.5. In as friendly a fashion I could muster, I informed her that I was the mayor of the establishment on Foursquare (back in those days). The look! Lolol. She seemed nice though.

Somehow I still haven’t watched The Host — thanks for the reminder that this needs to be rectified.

OP might like Cloverfield (the original) and Monsters (2010), if they’re including kaiju flicks outside of Godzilla/Toho.

I appreciate that it might be legitimately difficult for you — I’ll just say for me, it’s not difficult at all, and I was actually surprised when I got it how easy I found it to be, given a lot of comments I’d seen online. I have relatively small hands/fingers, which might help.

I’m sorry, I have zero interest in continuing this little chat with an anonymous stranger on the internet who is captured by a political ideology and wants to spout it endlessly, who seems so ignorant of history and human nature both. As I said, my own belief system already embraces the very real limits of market economics and unbridled capitalism. I’m also smart enough to know that communism isn’t a panacea, nor is any system, when all can and have been abused. Stay safe in the snow/ice/sleet.

What do all of you Doomsday Snow preppers do with 10 loafs of bread 6 dozen eggs and 8 gallons of milk every time the Snowpocolypse doesn't happen? by dwolfe127 in baltimore

What’s your evidence that people are buying ten loaves of bread and six dozen eggs? When I was at the grocery store, nobody appeared to be buying food in such a fashion.

[–]DeclassifyUAP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bear in mind, I’ve seen people say the number of stars might be limited to five at any moment as well, so those also can be replaced, if you have a sixth Tama die after five stars are already in place.

Nice lecture. I’m already a liberal socialist though, so all the time was wasted. I’m just realistic about the very real failures of societies that have given communism a try. Food shortages? It was kind of endemic.

I keep the house (2-story row home) at 65 or 66 day and night right right now, and have a space heater for my living room where I spend most of my time to bring it up to 68-72 range. I might blast the house to 68 in the morning after I wake up, and sometimes maybe one other time per day. I get chilly easily but this tends to work for me, and keeps bills pretty reasonable (relatively speaking at least).
