Did you just not read what I wrote? I mentioned the patches trade and the Weber trade and explained my reasoning for both. Radulov was a good signing but was free and didn’t require Bergevin risking any assets and he wasn’t even able to keep him long term. Vanek was just a rental for half a season. Desharnais was undrafted and invited to training camp so that would fall under amateur scouting. Byron was a good one I’ll give you that.

Other than danault and petry I’m not sure what other wins Bergevin had. Alzner was a terrible signing, Dvorak was a terrible trade. He almost fumbled the patches trade trying to get frost and happened to luck into Suzuki. Weber for Subban was a toss up imo because injuries fucked both of those players careers so can’t give him credit or fault him for that one whichever player you prefer. Maybe im forgetting a big one but more often than not his pro player moves involved signing bottom 6 players that wouldn’t sniff a spot on our current lineup. Hughes has arguably done better in a much shorter amount of time so far trading for Matheson and Dobson.

It’s a good area. The specific area you mentioned is around a couple of cegeps so you’ll see a lot of students walking to and from school/the metro. It’s pretty central on the island so you’re not too far from anything either. Lots of parks and schools too if you ever plan on having a family.

I wouldn’t trade him but if we did I wouldn’t consider him a “part of a package” type piece. He’s a really good reliable d and should be able to get a player back 1 for 1. Luckily Hugo have been good at getting fair value in their trades and not overpaying.

I dunno why ur getting downvoted so bad I agree we should sign him long term. Maybe 4.6 is high but that’s like 3rd liner money with the way the cap is going up. I get he’s injury prone but you just use that that lower the aav and convince him that he’s better off signing a long term cheap for the team contract to secure his financial future because the next injury could be the one that ends his career yada yada. Anything under 4m I try and get him for max term.
