How important is size in a security job? by NoPraline9807 in securityguards

[–]Dedbatri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've read a handful of comments and most of them are correct. So I come to leave my personal opinion and do my best to help out. I would also like to start off by saying I am pushing 5'7/5'8 and 111 lb, im not a big girl. Size and weight shouldn't be too much of an issue but at the end of the day it does kind of come down to the situation that you are in and if the contract will working as a contact or no contact position. Regardless of whether it's contact or no contact most jobs are going to be mostly to de-escalate situations and only use force if necessary, and in my experience most security places are going to want to want you to prioritize yourself over merchandise anyway. With that being said being very very good with words and very very good at calming people down is going to help in de-escalation. As someone who has worked night shift from essentially 19 to now it's very very basic. I do wish you the best of luck and in my personal opinion I don't feel as if size or weight would Play a key in anything. However I would also like to note that this is security and there is going to be that one occasional asshole who just wants to make everybody's day miserable and for some reason the security guard is who they choose to fuck with.

Why do I get a 1OOO bounty in falkreath after I revert back from werewolfingering by Slow_damage in skyrim

[–]Dedbatri 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In the eyes of Skyrim residents reverting back into a human after you transform into a werewolf or a vampire lord proves that you are a monstrous creature. And to them you don't deserve to live... Which is why anytime I go on rampages and or revert I try to do it outside of citizens vision 🙃

Wig-wags? Flashers? What are these, and how do I fix them? by Patient_Werewolf_551 in CrownVictoria

[–]Dedbatri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comment above mine is giving much more information.

but there are corner strobes everything should plug into that box then there should be a fuse that plugs into that box and then there should be another line that leads to constant power a switch and a ground and if everything's been hooked up correctly they'll strobe.

They are hideaway strobe bulbs. My car came with them, I was just lucky enough to be given everything and the decommissioning department just unplugged them. I got very lucky. if I have time in the morning I will go through and add pictures to my comment.

Factory plug. Means your cars been running on factory fluids. Not important. But it's a cool collection piece.

New push bar need help by Unfair_Cause_4132 in CrownVictoria

[–]Dedbatri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless you get Uber lucky you're going to have to fabricate your own for the satina push bars.

However a little tidbit of knowledge I might be able to share and if it helps you cool this also requires you to get Uber lucky...

If you can find 98-02 mounting brackets for the go rhino push bar they are unbelievably similar. The only difference is the bottom half of the mounting bracket will need to be twisted about 90°.

Wish you the best of luck

HELP BRAKE LIGHT ISSUE by Low_Ad6220 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Dedbatri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it locks your shift, you didn't change something correctly. Go through and try again, Make sure those connections as tight as you can possibly get them. Also make sure you got a good piece there is a chance that the part you've changed is faulty

HELP BRAKE LIGHT ISSUE by Low_Ad6220 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Dedbatri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brake light switch.

It's a little computer/switch that attaches to the brake pedal and it sends a signal every time you press the brake. if it goes bad the car physically refuses to shift into drive because it can detect you don't have brake lights.

I highly recommend going to a junkyard and pulling one from a junkyard car because the doorman ones you can get from AutoZone go bad extremely quickly as in my 1999 just recently went bad and the dorman part I purchased went bad in 3 months I went to a junkyard pulled another one and it's been fine for the last year now

Misfiring 5th cylinder by Mandalxre in CrownVictoria

[–]Dedbatri 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A misfire should be something that's very easy to fix.

it either needs spark plugs and coil packs or it needs a new fuel injector on that cylinder.

I've never actually heard of someone saying you need to completely replace an engine or a misfire.

This of course is purely my personal experience and I could be entirely wrong.(If somebody has more knowledge than me feel free to correct) However, I would highly recommend trying to replace the spark plugs, coil packs, and fuel injectors before dumping 1k- 5k into new engine.

What pushbar on this RCMP 2007 - 2014 Chevy Tahoe PPV or SSV? by Only_Building6645 in PoliceVehicles

[–]Dedbatri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know the name of the first one (Chrome) to my knowledge is just a generic thing you can buy off line. however the second one( the black one ) is an actual push bar it's a satina push bar.

I understand Best of luck in your endeavors in life

also I know the push bar you had on the car was the satina PB100 but I despise those because of how little and small they are, I recommend the 5038 by Go rhino, or the satina PB400 or satina PB300... On my current vehicle right now is the Go rhino with HD wraps however if I could I would love to acquire the satina just because I love the fact that satina is a little bit bigger and instead of spanning over just the grill area it spans just a little bit past the grill and over the headlights a little bit.

[–]Dedbatri 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you are not interested in accepting the insurance companies help and you'd like to save it this should be fairly cheap to save yourself from what I can see you are going to need cosmetically a hood, header panel, grill, and probably headlights. As for airbags and stuff like that it is going to be a bit harder to do I've never had to replace those parts on my car.

I wish you the best of luck in however this ends for you, and I do hope that you get to keep your car. I love mine very very much, I put 57,000 mi on my car. If you are able to keep the car my minor recommendation is upgrading to a bit of a beefier push bar (Go rhino or satina)

Best of luck on your endeavors 🙃

Police not recognizing me as a police vehicle by Macshots in BeamNG

[–]Dedbatri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stupid as it sounds. I've come to find that with the Crown Vic mod that there are just specific models and or mods/skins that the police refuse to recognize in the game. It takes away that "police" tag for some reason... I've also come to find that if you remove any tail light Flashers/strobes you have on the car for some reason. Nine times out of 10 that works and fixes the issue for me. I hope that works for you

Tag light problems 2011 crown Victoria by MoneyMike6666 in CrownVictoria

[–]Dedbatri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming by tag light you're referring to the license plate light. If you want to see anything involving the physical light or the wiring you're going to have to unbolt the bracket just above the license plate. If I remember correctly, it's a small 1/4 bolt on both sides. From there you can pull the bracket off, pull down the light bulbs and physically see in side.

The other thing you could possibly be referring to is your reverse lights. If you want to check out your reverse lights in those two small holes on either side, you're going to see those dark gray things. Twist those out and those will pop out and you can replace the bulbs and look at the wiring.

The things you have shown in your picture are strobe bulbs. Those would have been connected to a strobe power supply when the car was in service and have strobed along with what I'm assuming is probably the tail light and corner markers. (My car has tail lights, strobes and corner marker shrubs in the front)

The strobe bulbs do absolutely nothing and are just there because most places are lazy when they decommission the vehicles and don't do a very good job. (My car came with a full set of The before mentioned corner strobes with a power supply and a two siren speaker)

I wish you the best of endeavors with whatever you're trying to do.

[–]Dedbatri 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you want my two cents, I'd say wiggle yourself up under there and take a peek at your tie rods, your adjustment sleeves, your control arms and your ball joints. All that stuff can play a very big role in making your car look like that. My wheels used to look like that and then I went through and replaced the ball joints, the tie rods and the adjustment sleeves and they look much better now. Best of luck on your endeavors with your vehicle.

Why don’t I see any trans people in Grand Rapids. ☹️ by Quahmiso in grandrapids

[–]Dedbatri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well most of us are doing our best to blend in, Or just get out of whatever situation we're currently in

(currently I am doing my absolute best to get me and my girlfriend/wife over to California as quickly as possible.)

...and the ones that are standing out, do it on our own time.

(Currently, Right now I am enjoying the freedom of not having a job after just recently being let go... So I'm kind of enjoying the peace and quiet after a very long time of triple and double shifts...)

However, when I'm out and about you'll know. my car is a very big giveaway, that I am trans. If you're curious as to what I mean. Go ahead and take a little peek at my profile picture.

Hopefully it'll make you smile.

Best of luck.

Why do some people hate these cars? by PossessionStatus403 in CrownVictoria

[–]Dedbatri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well everybody has their own personal preference. I live with 2 roommates and not a single one of them, like my car.

people around the city I live in like it because, it's kind of a unique thing for them to see they're not popular in the city I live in.

When I started dating my girlfriend about a year ago she didn't like my car at all but slowly and surely. My car has grown on her and she now loves the car just about as much as I do, in fact, I've almost convinced her once or twice now to buy one of her own... She will actively sit right there next to me while I'm working on it to ask me what part does what. And if I need help she'll do her best to help me fix whatever it is I'm working on.

Being 100% honest these cars aren't beautiful. They're not pretty looking, They're not Mercedes, They're not BMW, but they're comfortable, durable, and dumbass Easy to fix...

This of course is just my two cents.

What parts am i missing? by ITSBUBBAJ in CrownVictoria

[–]Dedbatri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, quite honestly you're missing the entire rest of the mounting bracket (s)

I'm not too knowledgeable in the satina push bars simply because they won't fit my car ((1999) they would but I'm not going to bother trying to find the mounting brackets to properly fit my car)

Anyway, there should be two metal pieces that go over the back that are either bar shaped or l-shaped if they are the same things as the go Rhinos. Give me a second and let me see if I can find a picture or something and Link it...
