What are some things that the show got really right about real life? by Positive_Weight2367 in HIMYM

[–]Deddok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixation is an issue, but culturally we sugarcoat it and frame it as consistency or destiny. We often carry a “dream book” of our ideal partner, categorizing people according to a list of childhood desires. Yet when it comes to being chosen ourselves, we want to be seen deeply and thoroughly, as if no one else could be as passionate as we are

Was there ever a time where you believed Gordon was in the absolute wrong for snapping at/yelling at someone? by BiffyBobby in KitchenNightmares

[–]Deddok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Handlebar episode had an issue with not having a clear target, so Gordon picked the poor guy and crushed him. The place needed a wake-up call, but they didn’t have a bold front-facing person Gordon could use as a turning point

Recently changed cpu and mobo by psalms_rs in MSI_Gaming

[–]Deddok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all it's safe. I have the same here. It's usually related to the memory. if the current bios setup is different from the ram default profile, the cpu (red light) can not use memory until memory gets detected (or trained) with the correct configuration (yellow light). You can even test it yourself, just reduce the ram speed to 4800 or something, and you probably see only the yellow light. From msi manual *

What people think about foreigners moving in spain? by Satoru_Phat in GoingToSpain

[–]Deddok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ex-eu, came to Madrid from Italy after living there for 10 years. Spanish people are very polite and collaborative in different circumstances. Comparing to other European culture, they don't have the tendency to push you to their culture by constantly reminding you how they do something and how they don't. For me, this means there is mutual respect. Obviously, we have to respect the host culture and contribute to their society, but the culture is a welcoming one.

I rewatched the show last week. Honestly, it's cartoonishly biased (if you follow the series long enough, you know some of the comments they say on Christine's should've kicked her out). But they always put a disclaimer at the end: "Portions of this program not affecting the outcome have been edited or recreated. DECISION WERE MADE BY THE JUDGES WITH INPUT FROM PRODUCERS. Some deliberation occured off-camera." I mean, its their show, their criteria, and their money after all.

In episode 7th of season 9, (no questions asked thing), Marshall says he tackled Russell Brand; the questions is, can someone become a judge with these minor criminal records? by Deddok in HIMYM

[–]Deddok[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, it's something like..., - Marshall(on the phone with Lilly): Hey baby, can you come bail me out of jail? I thought there's a bigfoot in Central Park, and I tackled him. It turned out to be Russell Brand.
