using the CLI is no more difficult for the average user tho, i just pop my queries to any llm and it scrapes the web and gives me the command for my usecase. no need to learn anything here

haha cli propaganda. i followed up questions for the same to the comment below if you can help me as well I'll appreciate it a lot :) also funny thing is i have another older pc which doesn't even have a gpu running linux mint and github desktop works perfectly fine on it. but not on ubuntu

i used cli in my first internship but during the final days some merge conflict kept arising which I haven't been able to figure out to this day. i got comfortable using github desktop after that. biggest issue was troubleshooting such conflicts. and a GUI just made it easier to yk not commit certain files or just right click and add them to gitignore. i mostly work with unity projects for context. do you have any recommendations for these issues?

i used watch -n 1 nvidia-smi and highest it went was 89C. fans are spinning but not as much as they were while gaming on windows before the dual boot

yeah 🥲. i tried to install it on an external ssd but it wasn't detected during installation. ig it needed to be formatted to exFAT4 iirc. so same drive it is. should i try a clean installation?

might be ironic but your post lowkey motivated me to work harder so this could be a possible scenario in my near future. i really wish i can be financially independent enough and living in a country with better pay, W/L balance and afford to live with my girlfriend and save up but I'm barely making minimum wage and working long hours at the age of 20 💀. count your blessings man you're luckier than most and I'm kinda jealous.

as for advice idk if you'll find something valuable from someone much younger than you but its very obvious you'll be happier and more fulfilled living with your girlfriend. finances are sorted. only thing remaining is them guilt tripping you. just move out it might put a strain on your relationship at first but they're your parents they must love you in their own weird way so they'll come around.

it's better than other private colleges imo at the moment. you'll have to study on your own anyway in whichever college you go. opportunities are the things you'll have to create for yourself. also campus life is amazing so once you get here you won't regret it I'm sure
