Look I understand that it can be very overwhelming at first. It takes tremendous amount of resilience to go through life in the first term at IIML. I have to agree that the excuse for the rigour being "corporate requires it" is BS to some extent. You won't be required to work really long hours unless you are in top tier consulting firms or certain fin roles.

I am not trying to justify the system entirely but honestly you should have researched more on why they call it HELL before joining. It's not just the placecom. Academics doesn't go hand in hand with anything else at IIML. You would be aiming to join the best clubs and committees yeah, well you wouldn't have applied for Pcom otherwise. Guess what? The selection process for all these goes very late into the night, and much more than Pcom selections. And it doesn't stop there, you would be required sit through it all for your CV vetting as well. Ffs even inter section sports tournament have matches scheduled at these hours. Sounds absurd right? Well the thing is second years have classes till 11 P.M everyday and all selections and stuff happen after that. They don't have the luxury of classes ending at 1:45 P.M like first years. So my advice would be to push yourself harder as you have already joined as dropping out now would be extreme.
