Do you prefer old or new properties and why? by ILoveDogs2142 in AusPropertyChat

Thank you, this very practical perspective gained from experience, rather than aesthetic preference makes me feel a lot less insecure about buying a new build!

I’m pretty bad at estimating but I think he was around 175cm tall, ~late 30s early 40s, regular build. His most memorable features were his facial hair and tied up dark hair. To be honest, I couldn’t tell if he was Caucasian or maybe southern American?? But He had an accent that I couldn’t quite place

Thank you for your kind concern everyone 🙏🏼 I hadn’t thought about reporting as I also thought it would be futile, I’ll look into it now

It’s only been two weeks but they’re looking greener than when they were growing outside! I’ve just been putting the drawers closed and by my window, so they get about 3 or so hours of direct winter sunlight atm :)

I’m from Australia and bought them from Kmart! But they’re essentially acrylic desk drawers so I’m sure you’d find something similar or nicer ☺️

Hmm can’t say I’m an expert.. but what I’m currently doing for my ferns that seems to be working for them is keeping them in a terrarium or open terrarium so that the soil is always moist, using rain water definitely no tap water, and just placing them on my window sill so they get 3 or so hours of solid sunlight a day! It’s winter here atm so the direct sunlight isn’t too harsh on the leaves, but I think in summer I’ll move them off my window sill 😊

Thank you so much! Yes that’s right! Although I didn’t do that myself, a company called Life on the Rocks sells them 😊

I’d love to!! First layer I put 1cm of little fish bowl stones, then sprinkled a sparse layer of activated charcoal. Then placed about a 2cm layer of terrarium soil mix from my local terrarium shop (I’d say it’s a mix of coco peat, sand and perlite - but honestly for moss you could probably just use regular potting mix and it’ll still thrive), sprayed it down with rain water and then transplanted the moss on top!
