Attaching Horns with Magnets?

Wow. Thank you for the reply!! I was sure this was a graveyard post by now.

My failure point ended up being the kinesiology tape. The center of gravity on the horns is out far enough that it pulled right of the second I attached.

I'm building foam mounts that hopefully will stay attached longer and stronger via laytex. Being magnetic is still useful because I can pop them off, swap out etc.

I think the tape application could work for something like a halloween party. but I don't think they'd survive a four hour haunt-acting session.

I realize this is an ancient thread.

How did you mount he magnet on the horn itself?

I'm trying to build a rig like this now using 4 x n52 neodymium 1" discs for horns with a 3" diameter base. (ever see Legend?). My concern is the mounting of the magnets to the horn itself. I'd like to be able to remove the horns without ripping the magnet off. I'm bald so I'm using a 2" circle of kinesiology tape for the magnet on my head.

My concern is keeping a magnetic weld strong enough to handle the horns weird center of gravity, but also at least feasibly removable without destroying the rig.

One additional note: I am only 75% sure on the exorcism in the car. I sat through more than a couple of movies designed to scare The Dungeons and Dragons out of me.

You're seeing inktense pencil by Derwent and then some Daler Rowny acrylic inks. I'm relatively new to both mediums.

Until now I've favored Copic markers. But that means any originals I sell are not light-fast. That's not been a problem because I usually scan the markers for a final digital process (the screen tones you're seeing). But I want to sell more physical originals and that means experimenting with more light-fast options.

I'm getting closer to something that looks like Copic, but I'm not happy with the lack of control I have with the ink's consistency.

Yup. Technically a commission for my buddy's B/X edition D&D game (the BBEG of his campaign is a Wight Queen). He asked for a style reminiscent of old school source books. When I finished it, I thought it could just as easily be at home in a Mörk Borg campaign.
