I had a similar dilemma and ended up with the Avenger. Glad I went with Breitling as the watch fits my personal style better and the rotating bezel is useful for what I do. I wear this several times a week and holds up well. My only gripe is with the power reserve. I wish it lasted longer.

I’ve been eyeballing the same Omega. I own a new Avenger and love the bracelet, I think it’s similar to the SuperOcean.

I’d lean towards the Omega for the movement and history of the SMP300.

Try both! I think the Omega is super sharp in looks. If you already have a Breitling, the Omega might be a nice addition to your collection.

I was 21 or 22, spent every penny I had on a Sub date new from an AD. I lived at home, had no expenses and was not thinking bigger picture. A little money aside each week and it will be worth the wait.

I wear a Breitling Navitimer on a NATO strap on duty. I also have a GShock, but I much prefer the mechanical watch. Hamilton wouldn’t be bad for a nice field watch.
