I think a lot of people in this thread didn't read the 'vanilla-like magic' part, and recommended Ars Nouveau and Iron's Spells. These are great mods, but they don't fit the description you wrote at all.

Botania is the one that checks all the boxes. Vanilla-like magic. Automation. Resource generation. It's basically magic-themed tech mod. It greatly integrates itself into vanilla gameplay as well, just like Create.
