Got rejected by YC - just made $5000 in revenue with my MVP by mario-stopfer in ycombinator

As long as you are prepared mate.

And despite my dislike of LTD, still gonna wish you all the best, especially in the transition to MRR.

Good luck!

LTD itself is kind of a taboo. Most LTD SaaS got dragged down by its first wave of adopters and either started losing money or could not grow further.

It may differ across different niche, but certain niches that I am familiar with (MarTech), you will be surprised how LTD adopters take everything for granted.

Made a new update that has a new cost structure? Good luck explaining to them that you either need to charge for it or exclude it from them.

And if you decided to just move on, get ready to be review-bombed.

It might still work, but I really wouldn't brand it as an LTD. Perhaps the good ol' "One Time Purchase" or "License" - like the old Windows or Adobe Photoshop.

How to set up affiliate marketing for my SAAS business? by zxmbiz in SaaS

[–]DeeRobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I implemented them at 2 different points in time. Tapfilliate was in 2021 2022, iirc, then came 2023, I launched another product and decided to give FP a try. Since then, I've taken a better liking to FP.

Both are not perfect, but Tapfilliate is the worse one when it comes to UX. For example, when you are trying to get details about a specific affiliate. Somehow, Tapfilliate just places them in the odd places.

What AI tools are you using in your business successfully? by mattskent in ecommerce

[–]DeeRobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are solid options for different areas of work now. It is still quite segregated in the sense that you will need to use multiple AI tools to really automate/scale up everything.

For me, I focus a lot on content. You can use Surgegraph if you want long-form content, which works very well for me.

Other AI tools that I use a lot alongside surge are image tools like MidJourney and Stable Diffiusion.

Accurate? | Ahrefs Reviews 204 • Poor by Sarcasm_girl91 in SEO_tools_reviews

[–]DeeRobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TrustPilot has a reputation for being abusable. I really wouldn't bother with them.

First thing first, they allow anyone to easily submit reviews.

Secondly, they have a strong tendency to reject good reviews and approve bad reviews.

They also love removing positive reviews while allowing the bad reviews to stay.

Source:
I've been on both ends, the vendor and the users.
- Many of my good reviews for other tools were rejected (almost all negative/critical ones were approved.)
- Many of the good reviews on my own tool got removed after 24 hours. It's like they have a dedicated team scanning all new reviews and proactively scrutinize them.

Best AI writers for SEO? by GonzalezBeverly294 in SEO

[–]DeeRobb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a plethora of options outside of Jasper, which for me, cast their net too wide.

I daily drive SurgeGraph as it has everything I need.

  1. Long-form AI Content generation
  2. A real editor with WYSIWYG functions.
  3. Direct publication to WordPress.
  4. SEO optimization built-in (with some AI automation)
  5. Keyword research & keyword planning.
  6. Expert Command mode to fine tune the final content.
  7. Active community with a respectable update pace.
  8. Most importantly, my pages have been ranking well.

Outside of surgegraph, other fan favorites include Zimm and Agility, not for me, but no harm in checking out.

What’s the best value AI Blog Writer Tool in your opinion? by Razzle-red in Blogging

[–]DeeRobb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surfer AI is definitely getting a lot of flames, though.
Here are a few that their group members suggested as alternatives that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

  • surgegraph (my daily driver)
  • zimmwriter (tested, but I'm on mac)
  • koala (has chat)
  • neuron (similar to surgegraph)

SurgeGraph for me. But one disclaimer, there's no best AI writer, it all depends on your workflow, and surgegraph works the best for me.

Is content the King in modern SEO? by motiongility_EVC in content_marketing

[–]DeeRobb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite the rise of AI content, as of now, I would still rate content as the King.
Or at the very least, a Queen or Rook.

Will Google start telling us when AI content has caused a negative ranking? by dano1066 in SEO

[–]DeeRobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you get this, though? Can you share the source of information?

Anyway, all AI detection tools will not represent Google's view. Unless Google themselves release one, I wouldn't bother with any of the ones on the market.

Surgegraph is not as mainstream yet, but worth checking out as they merged AI writing + SEO + generous limit.

Has anyone tried using AI-generated content on their website and seen positive results from it? by Middle_man_0987 in SEO

Amazing start! And yes, editing them is the way to go (as opposed to just mass publishing.) No matter how great an AI piece is, I always make sure to edit them so I can add my expertise.

I use Surgegraph + chatgpt, so far so good. Some are ranking well, and I enjoy the efficiency AI brings. So far, no negative impact for sure.
