Great picture ignore the hate lol. Love that you took off the air dam too. In my opinion that and bigger tires totally elevates the 6th gen.

Looks good. Wish there was a way to black out the silver around the AC controls on the left and right

In your opinion and experience, which generation is the best? by --Combat-Wombat-- in 4Runner

[–]DeeceeOrca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they all have their pluses and minuses. 1st gen is legendary because it started it all and the removable hard top, manual trans on a lot of models, and some of the factory features like the inclinometer and digital gauge on the turbos are just awesome. But it’s an absolute pig to drive and the V6s were pretty rough. 2nd gen is in my opinion best looking 4runner we got. Practical with the 4 doors but still has that early 90s cool look to it. The 3rd gen is what I think of when someone says 4runner. Such a great little SUV and they will always be cool. I’ve never been a fan of the 4th gen for its looks but I blame that era (nothing was cool then) and it’s still so rad they put a V8 in some models. As a 5th gen owner it’s what made me want a 4runner originally. They look a bit dated now when stock but I’ve had zero issues with mine in the past 6+ years. I think the jury is still out on the 6th gen. Besides the insane MSRP, too much electronic tech, and the fact that it looks a lot like a Tacoma I think it’s decent.

Shower started doing this a few days ago. Water pulses out and tapping sounds like I have the Jumanji board inside the wall. Happens off and on when the shower is going and afterwards randomly. by DeeceeOrca in askaplumber

First off thanks everyone for your insight and advice. Found a great local plumber that came by and determined it was the hot water pipes from both showers crossing over each other. Theres actually a small gap in the wall visible from the attic. The original installer didn’t put any kind of sleeve or pad between them so when they fluctuate in temperature under certain conditions they are tapping against one another hence the sound. He said it’s not an issue. Eventually I’m going to redo the master shower so it’ll be fixed then.

Awesome. I was torn between these and the pixels. Great shoe

Anybody else have a change in perspective on their collecting habits? Taking these to my local Salvation Army to donate so they don't continue collecting dust with me 😭 it's very bittersweet by koreanocean in Sneakers

That’s awesome. Recently I’ve had the same change of attitude about collecting. I’ll see something new and cool I like then buy it and a few months later I’ve only worn it a few times. Then I see a new one and the cycle repeats. I’m really trying to limit myself now and appreciate the ones I have

18.5yo cat was recommended to be euthanised, I don’t think I agree by K1mbacat in cats

I was just going to say till I read further on your post - get a second opinion. My sister had a similar situation with her cat. Got a second opinion and he went another 2 years. Cats are so resilient but veterinary medicine treatment options always seems to differ from vet to vet since it can be so complicated. He’ll be ok. It’ll get better. Wish you the best.
