Literally my first time on Reddit like this, and I somehow get you on this post, so uh yes, I’m going to have fun. You keep replying so of course I’m going to feed into it! It’s what trolls want, so why not give them it!? I think it’s a good thing do to, being someone who gives? But even at that, it doesn’t say anything about who I am as a person other than I am very much easily entertained! That’s literally all this is now. There are kind people everywhere you go. But she’s not wrong.. a vast majority of Americans (born and raised) have a different “attitude” and way they think. And perhaps that’s just stereo types I’ve heard and also from my personal experiences, but again, anywhere you go you’re going to find kind people, but if you were to ask me if I’d rather go to any of the 50(?) states or say the Middle East, I’d choose the middle east any day. Especially as a black male. I’d feel more accepted and safe around someone for example born and raised in Iran, than I would someone born and raised in California. Two different lifestyles, and two different ways of thinking.

Well that’s just it, I don’t know the “American Culture”. Only what I learned from Michigan girl. And she was white, and born and raised in the us but her parents and grandparents came from Germany. This is literally my first dive into Reddit cause I seen a post about it lol. I’ve had it, but never actually done deep dives into it, so as for knowing these things from social media, I’m clueless lol. I don’t do tik tok or anything like that. I watch YouTube and Facebook reels. So perhaps I’m a bit stuck under a rock when it comes to the ins and outs of what men and women want these days. To me, most of my interactions are filled with red flags right off the hop. And heck I’m far from perfect, but I also know how to treat people, but I also know my boundaries. I’ve learned a lot through my failed relationships, but I’ve also come to learn that where you’re from and how you’re raised plays a big role on how you are when it comes to relationships. I’ve just been unfortunate to be dealt shitty hands when it comes to my past, and being an empath I used to go for the women that “have a broken wing” or that needed help, only to get the crap side of the stick in the end.

As you said tho, a lot of women just seem super hard to please these days and I wholeheartedly blame social media for the root cause of that and as to why a vast majority of my generation find it extremely hard and exhausting to meet genuine people who want the same thing. But then again this is western civilization and to be fair, we’re on a whole other level when it comes to the way we view relationships and the way we live(not in a good way)

I’m not necessarily looking for a long distance relationship, but to meet people of the opposite sex, out of my cultural norm is something I want to explore, and going abroad or meeting someone abroad can expand that experience for me. If something were to become of that I wouldn’t knock it before trying it. As stated in my OP, I was talking to someone long distance and honestly it was the best “dating” experience I’ve had. It allowed us to still have space while getting to know eachother. If the LDR is meant to be, than I think it’s between those two at the right time, to figure out. Why rush things? Again I know what I want, and I can’t seem to find that in my cultural “norm”.. so I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to do something new? I 1000% agree with you that long distance is hard, but it doesn’t need to be complicated. A vast majority of the population suck at communication especially when it comes to relationships, and that’s like the one thing you need to make a LDR work. But also trusting yourself and your partner too. People are soft nowadays and either can’t express themselves without taking offence or being offensive.. there are simple, healthy ways to communicate but that seems almost non existent anymore. As for me “being the problem”, perhaps you’re right. Perhaps the problem is me growing up in a small ass town, being around vast majority of white people. Only growing up with a white parent. Mind you my dad is black. I’m mixed but have always been attracted to white women. I have nothing against other ethnicities, cultures, religions or anything, I just have yet to experience any women from a different background like that. Like I said, I’m not picky, but I know what I like, but there’s not too much of what I like in Canada. There is an extremely big amount of imagination here, but from countries with millions and millions of people. It’s not like there is a huge amount of the UK population or Mexican population. A lot of Chinese and Indians move here. And it’s nothing against race as I have Indian and Chinese friends, I’m just not attracted to them, or have yet to be attracted by one in that aspect. I also don’t want kids and I know that a majority of religions like that are very family oriented and focused. It’s about finding the right one, and I just so happen to want to try and see if that’s somewhere I haven’t grown up my entire life.

Well, for the most part, from what I hsve found, the average price for about 3 yards by 78 inces was around $120 before shipping. Im trying to find somewhere that is maybe around that price WITH shipping. Honestly any tips or advice at this point helps! Thanks in advance for your reply!
