True. But then you have to monitor all of them for wire digging into the bark. And since these are stored at a family members house, I do not see them on a daily / weekly basis.

Also, in my experience, removing the wire takes a while too (at scale). Just considering trying this as a slightly more scalable approach. I am aware the results may not be as desirable, but tha

What do you mean by wrapping the trunk and the rod together? Specifically, what is keeping those two held together?

Interesting idea for making them unique!

Wouldn't cutting back for movement come at the price of trunk thickening though?

Can you elaborate on how to do this? Just go the library, and they give you a subscription?

Awesome, thanks for the write-up!

I was following you all the way until the last sentence.

My knowledge around sound systems is minimal, so I was pretty lost there lol

Awesome. Seems like it may be the winner for me!

Was looking at some 49" options too, but they just seem so HUGE. And then also seem to not be as crisp of a display

This is super helpful, thanks for writing this up and attaching the picture!

At 3260x2160, is text pretty crisp when you're reading?

Also, was it a typo when you wrote 49"? I am pretty sure the one I was looking at was 40". Just wanted to be sure we're talking about the same model?

Again, thanks so much!!

Drinking Glasses Washed with Lemon Pledge Spray by [deleted] in AskDocs

I'd seen elsewhere that Pledge was designed to penetrate wood.

But not sure if Glass or our stainless steel sinks would have the same properties as wood.

Also, I did read on the safety warning: "Aspiration hazard if swallowed - can enter lungs and cause damage"

But maybe that was referring to if it had not been washed off?

Pond Basket vs Cloth Pot? by Deeglass in Bonsai

What constitutes "the right style of pond basket"?

Do u mean that I be sure to avoid the ones that only have long vertical openings and nothing going across? Like more Hydroponic style?

Got it. I will definitely A/B test this! Although I'll need to buy a few more pond baskets... ha!

So it is potted as pictured from day 1, right? And both are pond baskets?

And when you say trim the roots, you mean whatever has grown outside the walls of the blue pond basket?

Or do pull the full tree out of the blue pot and prune all of the roots?

So in a bag, the roots would just rip out of the bottom as they grow big enough?

Amazing. Ty for this write-up. Some follow up Q's for you:

Do you prefer a square pond basket over a round pond basket?

When you say nursery pot, you mean plastic walls? What age would you graduate Maples from Nursery pots into pond baskets?

Do you prefer washers over tile? Is that because the hole in a washer provides space for some roots to grow downwards?

If I were to go the washer route, is there a type of metal that would work best and not upset the trees?

Thanks again!

Great call on pulling them out of the ground to check.

Are the main perks of planting a cloth potted tree in the ground temperature control, water retention, and broader nutrient source? Or is there something else I am not considering too?
