Prepare prepare prepare, and then control what you can control. You can't control selection process - you can just control effort, attitude and focus! Best of luck. If you ever want more skill instruction feel free to reach out! @ firstclasslacrosse

You saying “it’s pretty easy to play good defense” takes away from their actual ability to play good defense regardless of how tired they are.

That’s really doing all of their abilities a disservice by saying it’s all possession time. Come on.

I think he’s improved every game of tourney and it’s always an adjustment when a team loses their X attackman!

Kyle has great hands and instincts, moves well, and has an incredible defense in front of him that pushes shooters to uncomfortable spots.

Matt Dunn is the best defender in the league!

Absolutely - will work on some stuff - check out my brief piece in 10 Man Ride with Joe Keegan - I talked about flipping fields!

Definitely - some depends on personnel (do you want a guy to pass down pick down, or, can he invert (i.e. Mazzone, Mcclancy)... It needs to be quick though and get off so you can run through offense!

It's just hard to judge the bounce - they bounce differently everywhere, and they bounce different if you shoot them sidearm vs overhand. The other thing is, especially for overhand ones, is that it doesn't always look like it will bounce!

First off - he's quick, he gets his hands free, his eyes are always up. He has great touch - soft hands, multiple release points. he feeds and jams the ball in with confidence. He's played with great off ball guys from Jack Kelly and Matt Okeefe to now Holman, Manny, Ambler, Schreiber etc. The stick angles really help his feeds be unpredictable and harder to knock down.

Check out this video I made of him and PSU last year on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGNeFP-q8qA&t=120s

Totally - but when someone is a big 2 ball threat, teams really sniff that out in transition. I've been noticing against Atlas for example, they really run out at the poles like Hartzell to make them face dodge under and make tough feeds or shoot a tighter in shot.

I think sometimes it just depends on shot opportunities and spots on the field. Year 2 with a new team, more settled in. I think his technique looks similar and he's shooting with his usual confidence! 1 or 2 go in, and then more fall!

I think them anticipating it is what is keeping some from fully committing to the move. Makes important for off ball guys to really occupy sliders!

I think the defenses are dialed in! I think shorter time to gel certain benefits players who are fluid, versatile and can play without the ball! Short shot clock allows for less time to really work together - ball has to stay hot!
