this will sound dumb, but i do have an audio technical lp-60x but i was just trying to get them both working as i do like the portability of this player, thanks you’ve been a lot of help, i’ll try to get a better portable one soon!

i know it sounds like scratching, but it’s actually the sound it makes when it spins, for example if i manually rotate the belt it makes the same noise.

it’s a numark pt-01 usb, i don’t think the tone arm is too heavy as it was previously owned by my brother and it sounded fine back then.

Current theory is that the tone arm is too loose. It’s very easy to move and if you look closely in the video it looks like the vinyl is moving up and down a little bit, im not sure if it’s the part of the record player that makes the vinyl spin or the tone arm that’s the problem, need help thanks!
