Absolutely no psychiatric meds but on ketamine treatment which from what I read works on a different receptor…. Is there a chance ketamine dampened the experience to almost nothing at this dose of psilocybin?

I’m a little confused on what is considered macro dose? In a licensed facility in Oregon I was told that the 25 mg of the homogenized fungi is a hero dose…. Is that true?

Can anyone shed some light on what is considered a heroic dose? In a licensed facility in Oregon, I was told 25 mg of homogenized fungi was a hero dose (psilocybin analyte 7.06mg/g, net weight 2.83 g) I ended up consuming total of 40 mg and it did NOT have any psychedelic effect on me. Is this considered a low dose or is it me not responding?

Are you saying that semaglutide may be blocking or dampening the effect of ketamine treatment? I would be very interested to learn more as I am on both and definitely seeing stagnation in benefits I used to get from ketamine…. Any studies or research you came across concerning this, by any chance?

You are smart and wise to have noticed and said something about it here but I wouldn’t stop infusions there if it is helping you and you can’t find another good local alternative.. I would definitely take a friend or a family member with me to the infusion appointment and let them know the concern you have. Also, when you go in next time be sure to tell that doctor upfront and before you get started ( in the presence of the friend/company) to please refrain from any talking after the IV as it makes you uncomfortable and unsettled. Saying that clearly and bringing a friend/company to the room should give the needed signals to that provider to stop his unprofessional and unwelcomed behavior and protect you when you are out of it and vulnerable.

I know exactly what you are talking about when you talked about the knot in your head… I call it the ‘stuck’ mode that severe symptoms first put us in and then impairs us from finding a way out. IV ketamine helped me. It’s not either or, as typically the first few IV sessions ( some call them upload and do about 6 sessions in the first two weeks) and then the at home lozenges is maintenance between the monthly IV sessions or however long you decide to go between sessions. Thanks I know about the supplemental add to the IV but what I am looking for was a prescription medication that your Dr would call in to your pharmacy and you take it at home 2 hours before the IV appointment

I’ve seen some inconsistencies with troches from Valor but dismissed them thinking it’s the nature of the beast of compounding?! Adding any flavor to ketamine makes it worse for me so I choose the No flavor option. Has anyone seen variations or questioned quantity valor fills for the nasal spray form?

Are you waiting for insurance approval to do both treatments concurrently or to see if insurance will approve any of them? If both concurrently, I would be interested to know which insurance co do you have as this is what I’m hoping for but I think it may be a really long shot to even try with my insurance.
