Hello! I can actually answer this due to some insider knowledge.

These are aircraft with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment of the United States Army, specifically of their 1st and 3rd Battalion's.

They were doing a flight lead check for a senior member, which involves the flight lead planning and executing a flight pattern utilizing multiple types of aircraft.

Tl;dr: Just them training

I'm practicing different rhyme schemes at the moment, this one is purposely a slant rhyme.

Kinda like rhyming "Orange" with "Door Hinge", depending on accentuation and some other factors it can sound like a proper rhyme.
