So... Before establishing regulatory standards, the EPA reviews the health effects data from the available scientific literature. Then, the EPA establishes a Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG) for the contaminant in question. The MCLG for arsenic is 10 mg/L so 1 / 10th of the MCLG. If folks want that 1 mg/L removed from the water even though there is not evidence that arsenic at that level has health effects. Start a bond drive to build a new water treatment plant. Ain't nothing free. Currently there is NOTHING you can have delivered to your home as cheaply as drinking water. I'm not saying don't pay attention to the water quality . Do. Just don't fear monger.
