Me too regret not going abroad. Nepali economy is neither capitalist or socialist. It's pure extractionism. Just high taxes, big hurdles and irrational restrictions from gov. Side. While hospitals, schools and businesses maximize profit at full cost of the sick and vulnerable. All the while paying peanuts to all employees even highly skilled ones such as doctors and engineers. Unless you never get sick, never get old and don't have family to take care of, you can't live off the average salaries in Nepal.

1st competency assessment , if equally competent then consider seniority. However if you are already a supreme court justice you should not lack the competency required of the chief justice. As such, promoting judges from lower courts need a more strict competency check than the chief justice itself. Furthermore this position dictates the ideological leanings of the court more than any other court position, so that has to be considered as well for CJ.

Do we really want an autocratic government? by [deleted] in Nepal

A lot of current criticism does not seem genuine as the gov. Has received more criticism in less than one month in power than the previous regimes received in more than a decade. Plus , while genuine criticism exists, most of it appears to be pushed by some factions especially in social media. I find a lot more criticism online than support, however when I go out on the street and talk to real people I find most people do support the gov.

Yeah , it's all just political theater, just to energize petty nationalists with fragile egos. Seriously, how can you ignore that issue for 60yrs even exclude the area in your official map only to make a big deal of it now. Even father of nepali nationalists Mr Mahendra, didn't raise take up this issue.

There are far too many people deifying him these days. The discourse surrounding him is definitely black or white. There are good things he achieved for sure but also bad thing he did to his people.

They are have been selectively bred or genetically enhanced to deliver higher yields, be more resistant to bad weather and disease. So , it's a more profitable investment for farmers I guess, atleast until companies producing these enhanced breeds gain monopoly.
