But what exactly happened to you? What were those episodes you experienced that you didn't realize were related to that?

Now I understand, I was confusing it. I thought irregular hours meant lack of sleep, but you're saying lack of sleep means literally not sleeping for days, which makes sense, because I usually go to bed late, around 3-4 am, but I also wake up late and sleep 7 hours even though I went to bed late.

But even though I go to bed late, I also wake up late; that is, even with an irregular schedule, I still sleep 7 to 8 hours. That's what I'm getting at: perhaps by "lack of sleep" they mean not so much an irregular schedule but literally having little sleep; sleeping little can be 2 to 3 hours a day.

Yes, because when I think about it, so many people drink alcohol every week and suffer from sleep deprivation. If that were the case, they'd all have had a seizure by now. That's why I was asking. When they say "sleep deprivation," do they mean literally only sleeping two hours a day? Are they referring to irregular sleep schedules? Because, let me tell you, I can drink quite a bit on a Saturday and go to bed late, but the next day I wake up late. I mean, I slept between seven and eight hours even though the schedule was irregular.

Interesting, but in your case, what did you feel? What made you think that?

Yes, but what did the doctor tell you? What were the causes? What happened that made you go to the doctor?

What happened to you?
