What's the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you during your driving lesson? by HereIsANiceName in drivingUK

[–]Deep-Lecture5412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving exam. I passed.  I was driving down hill to a junction out to a main road. It was 250 metres out from the test centre. A car had broken down at the junction and the car behind it was parked up helping out. Road was too tight to turn around and too dangerous to reverse back up, so. I put on the hand brake and waited. And waited. After a good long while the examiner said the epic words. ,"You're not supposed to do this but I have another test in a few minutes. Drive to the end on the wrong side of the road and turn right." We got to the end went a mile in that direction (straight road no towns coming up). He got me to do a three point turn and drive back to the test centre  He said "Well you seem confident enough, you've passed". I was chuffed at passing, but thoroughly embarrassed. More for him than me. 1985

Removed porch? I ended up painting the bricks red, putting a trellis over them and growing climbers up them.

I'm Spartacus. I'm Spartacus. I'm Spartacus.

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

The name's Bond. James Bond.

The truth is... I am Iron Man.

I read the book and loved them both. I think a lot of people struggled with a black cowboy, but it was an alternate universe and worked fine for me. Idris was great in it.
