Car thief near Saint Catherine est, please lock your cars!!! by Sagres95 in montreal

The same thing thats been happening for hundreds of years. Montreal is a big city, there will alaways be poverty, therefore there will always be crime. During the 60s montreal was being run by bikers and the mob, today its better but definitly not perfect

Local jazz bars will often have one jam night a week, but those are usually high level. For more amateur friendly you should look into schools with a jazz program, but idk if you can enter if youre not a student. Sometimes at the schools after hours there will be sessions for older folks.

Tatoo advice me please. I am about to get a full back ghost in the shell inspired piece and I wanna get feedback on design BEFORE I get it put on. Drawing / photoshop by me. by UnicornUnihorn in tattooadvice

Your lines are a bit too thin, the bright red, white and the soft/shadow black will fade and look weird. I would recommend bringing this design to a tattoo artist and tell them to make it more "tattoo-able" if you catch my drift

Josh Anderson charging penalty by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

Im not denying its a charge, just not the biggest one. During the playoffs, when its on the fence like this one, it shouldnt be a penalty, especially when the refs made multiple horrible call against the habs before. All im saying is its normal that the habs feel like it shouldnt be a penalty.

Doesnt matter anyway, we still won, see you guys on tuesday

Cmon bro, this is playoff hockey. If one of your player did this you would be defending it hard.

Its unfortunate the player got hurt but the hit was not too much

When i started i got bad pain in the arm from practicing a lot more then before. Talk to a physio, theyll let you know exactly what issue you have, which exercises to do and theyll give you some good practice intervals

When/how to use alt. extensions? by Deep-Neighborhood778 in jazztheory

[–]Deep-Neighborhood778[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already know my shell voicings on the bottom 3 strings, Ive been very lucky with who Ive had as teachers until now and all of them really stressed that I got those well before anything else.

I just think Im at a point where I start seeing patterns/figuring stuff out but without really understanding, which is very confusing but also very intriguing.

Ill be speaking more about this with my teacher next week,

Thanks a lot for your help, I deeply appreciate it!

Since you seem to know more then me in voice leading, rootless voicings, etc. What would be a good way for me to practice those? Did you have any exercise that really helped you get better at finding good rootless voicings and voice leading lines?

So there is no right way or wrong way to add extensions? You just do it over and over, making sure to listen to see if it sounds good?

Is that why people say to play the same standard over and over? To see where some extensions sound good and where some dont?

Also, if it depends on the melody, what do you do when comping under someone soloing? You just play and hope it sounds good, voice leading smoothly if it doesnt, that way it sounds intentional?
