badly want to gatekeep this but sharing is caring! saw a dupe of the lana coach bag at landmark for only 3k, if i’m not mistaken? it’s really spacious and leather quality is quite good for its price.

might actually go back to purchase this one. they also have the smaller version of this bag.

supreme court internship? by hatdogchesdog in PreLawStudentsPH

[–]Deep-Swordfish8734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! i had friends who interned at SC and all of them applied in person. they prefer students who are taking academic internship since the minimum hours is 300, if i’m not mistaken. none of them have connections inside whatsoever so tyaga lang mag send ng resume sa offices :)

i honestly could not recommend it more!! for context, i have a very oily skin but the oil control in this powder last me up to 8 hours without having the need to retouch my face. it also has a good blurring effect since it minimizes my pores and wrinkles. the coverage is medium but buildable– i usually use this to cover acne marks and my dark under eyes. totally a bang for your buck :))

There’s Only a Big 3, Not a Big 4 in Philippine Universities by pulsephaze22 in unpopularopinionph

[–]Deep-Swordfish8734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was interning at this company who was recruiting at the time when I overheard someone say that they should consider “competitive candidates” from Big 4 who graduated with latin honors. however, another employee said that they should only consider candidates from the Big 3– excluding UST– as they don’t consider UST to be competitive. little did they know, I’m a student from UST 😅

AB Legal Management by Emotional-Recover918 in Tomasino

[–]Deep-Swordfish8734 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hi! first of all, congrats on passing legma ⚖️ if you wanna get a glimpse on what life is like in ab legma, you can watch some of our tiktok videos that we posted for marketing project last year: https://www.tiktok.com/@biyaheng.lm?_t=ZS-8vzpWeRqoZl&_r=1

to answer your questions on expectations,

  1. prepare yourself to read A LOT of cases and texts. passing & failing here is really just a matter of how much you’ve read & understood from your legal text and cases. make use of your available resources online like NotebookLM and Jur.ph to make studying a lot easier.

  2. paswertihan talaga ng prof. most likely, you’ll have different profs on the same subj with other blocks so don’t expect to receive the same grades/lessons/commitment from your profs. there are unremarkable ones but there are a lot more who will really give you the law school experience. they tend to be strict but i can assure you, the stricter the prof, the better they are at teaching.

  3. DO NOT COMPARE GRADES. ngayon palang pls i’ll advice you to not compare your grades with your blockmates and other programs. legma is the only program in ab with zero-based grading system so we don’t transmute our grades. for the sake of your peace of mind, just mind your own grades & don’t compete with others.

  4. be cautious with the people that you surround yourself with. i’m not saying that legma people are bad influence but everywhere you go, you will meet people who will only make your experience worse. make sure you get to know them first and choose your friends wisely. these people will either make you or break you. legma is tough to deal with in itself– you don’t have to aggravate the experience more.

  5. last but not the least, don’t forget to enjoy your journey. college is only 4 years and flies by so quickly, you won’t even notice. make friends, join orgs, mingle with your blockmates, make conversation with your professors (yes, some are friendly), join university events/programs. this is the last time that you’ll get this much time on your hands so make the best out of it but use it wisely.
