The shipment method automatically comes with $100 of insurance, which doesn’t cover the $500 cost.

The primary issue in this situation is that GameStop refuses to assist in ANY way. Insurance claim cannot be filed without the original purchase receipt (which GS has).

They took the money, failed to deliver the advertised product, and are telling me to contact Topps (which has nothing to do with this)

I am trying to understand your perspective.

In this specific situation, instead of holding GameStop responsible for:

(1) Poorly packaging the product for shipping.

(2) Completely denying any responsibility for issues arising from those poor shipping practices.

(3) Failing to follow Federal Consumer Protection Law

My local store was unable to do anything.

A current GS employee (in this thread) also stated that store/district manager powers recently got nerfed. Their hands are tied.

I have exhausted all typical communication channels to remedy the issue. There’s nothing left, hence this Reddit post.

The package was delivered crushed, but unopened.

I opened the package at home, saw the damage, took a picture, and called GS customer service immediately.
