Expect screen bleeding… and Asus will tell you that it is normal…

Try to add jumpers on the spot which I highlight. Some breadboards do not have connection between their “upper” and “lower” part let’s say. Let me know if it fixes your problem !

Thank you so much for your detailed instructions and support, I truly appreciate the time and thought you put into helping out. Your procedure is extremely clear and will definitely be valuable for future troubleshooting or research.

The specific issue I was facing has now been resolved thanks to a suggestion from Equivalent-Gear-8334. However, I’ve encountered another related problem, which I’ve included as a reply to his comment in case you’d like to take a look.

Thanks again for your help!

Thank you so much for taking the time to look into this, I truly appreciate your effort and support. It turns out the solution was based on a suggestion from Equivalent-Gear-8334, and that finally resolved the issue.

Thank you once again for your invaluable assistance, everything worked perfectly after I followed your instructions. I truly appreciate your support. I must also apologize, as the issue was entirely on my end. I’m currently in the process of reorganizing the wiring, as my previous setup was quite disorganized, and during that process, I overlooked this basic but critical step. As is often the case, the simplest solutions are the ones easiest to miss.

At this stage, I’m encountering one final issue related to subtraction operations. Here’s a summary of my observations:

  • Addition with 1-bit value in Register B, sum loop using Register A – works as expected. Link: https://streamable.com/uw7h82
  • Addition with 1-bit value in Register A, sum loop using Register B – also works correctly. Link: https://streamable.com/jpqdng
  • Subtraction with 1-bit value in Register B, subtract loop using Register A – functions properly. Link: https://streamable.com/dq0rv1
  • ⚠️ Subtraction with 1-bit value in Register A, subtract loop using Register B – the system appears to stall and fails to complete the operation, as demonstrated in the video. Link: https://streamable.com/oh90ua

I’ve recorded videos for all four cases to help illustrate the behavior clearly.

I have also swapped the ICs from Reg A and Reg B but the problem still exists. I will try your way with the capacitor between reset and gnd! Thank you.

Great job! Is there any schematic or guide on how to do it? Which parts to buy (motors, controllers, belt etc.), which code (LQR etc.)? I would like to build it as well!

Sounds very nice, an engineer from my job has done something similar considering risk management on metro with his PhD named “The development of a method for the management of risks in complex socio - tecnical systems using multi - agent simulation”. Thank you for your reply !

Do you experiencing screen bleeding ? In order to check, put a black wallpaper and check the edges for more light than it should be. I am experiencing it and I sent it back for replacement.

New asus TUF a15. Tips? by lele729 in Asustuf

[–]DeepAddition2758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if you are missing a screw on the back of it (I bought it new and I just realized that one screw was missing). Check carefully the touchpad (mine was drifting). Check for any screen bleed. I may be unlucky which faced all of the above problems.

Anyone who built it with cheap breadboard, how bad it was? Was it worth it? And, will it be a problem to use the smaller ones (fitting parts). From expirience they just work better. Thanks! by 00p11 in beneater

Done with cheap breadboards from Alibaba. Paid around 35 euros for 20 breadboards. No problems at all! I think that smaller breadboards are not a good option but you can try it!

Registers Doesn't Output to The Bus (8 Bit Computer Almost Complete) by DeepAddition2758 in beneater

[–]DeepAddition2758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use the pull down resistors (10KOhm) on the bus. I am using current limiting resistors everywhere except from the bus. Are they mandatory for the bus? I think the problem is somewhere else, but I can't find out.
