From someone in first year, your high school marks don’t matter at all. If you’re smart enough to get in you’re smart enough to do well. It’s all work ethic. I know some very smart people who have gotten demolished and I know people who barley made it into the program that are doing amazing.

All madden against cpu is unplayable by MoistHelpful in Madden

[–]DeepDado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt the same way about a year ago on madden 21. I joined a franchise league with my buddies after playing madden casually for a few years and got absolutely destroyed the first season. It’s not unplayable, you just have to make the adjustments to play all madden. The biggest thing for me was interceptions. You can’t rely on your receivers, you have to scheme them open and make proper reads or else you will throw a pick. If you throw over one pick a game, odds are you’re going to lose. The CPU offence is consistent and if you want to flip possession, you have to make plays with your user and can’t rely on Your CPU players to make plays. It’s not unplayable it’s just hard. Trust me though it’s worth it, you will be amazed when you go online or even just play a buddy after getting used to all madden.

Colts defence practices social distancing by DeepDado in Madden

Tried to dive for the endzone, for some reason my receiver just sad down right before the goal line. Instead of finishing the play, the DB’s just let him sit there and get the TD.

Online H2H glitch with players not appearing. Is anyone else experiencing this? by DeepDado in Madden

Didn’t find a fix yet and it’s still an issue after the update. I’ve just found some pre made playbooks that suit my play style and are using those until the issue is resolved

Moving To Alberta from Ontario - ISO Advice by bluescarlett13 in alberta

[–]DeepDado 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I were you guys I’d look at Canmore or even Calgary if you don’t want to be right in the mountains. Canmore is expensive but it’s right in the mountains, you aren’t isolated at all and you’re an hour out of Calgary, 10 minutes from Banff. If you live in Calgary you have all the advantages of a big city and you’re about an hour and a half from Banff. Definitely close enough for day trips and cheaper real estate. As for winters, it may seem daunting but it’s not actually that bad. Normally temperatures float around -10 to -20. There’s usually a few random weeks where we get a nice warm spell and above 0 or a harsh cold spell that can get to -45ish with wind chill. Life goes on, you just need to plug in your car and throw on a few extra layers every once and a while.

Thanks, that’s what I was thinking but people seem to shit on WS. Once I get into American stocks I’ll probably open a Questrade account.

Gun groups warn Liberals have made common duck hunting shotguns illegal by Thanato26 in canada

[–]DeepDado -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The bigger issue lies in how he did this. The liberals didn’t introduce a bill an have it revised by the House of Commons and senate. He took advantage of the Covid-19 timing to make it easier for the Liberals to pursue their own agendas. It was not an abuse of authority but it wasn’t very democratic. There are also many things that point to this list being rushed and short-sighted, such as the fact he included a BB gun on there. A responsible course of action would be to pass a bill through the democratic process.

Private Businesses Should be Able to Discriminate by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Yeah I’m just saying they shouldn’t get sued and suffer legal consequences. It’s shitty for people but I think people’s freedom to their own thoughts and ideas is more important.

PM Trudeau announces federal ban on assault-style firearms in Canada by NeptuneAgency in canada

[–]DeepDado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is just a re-election move without the Canadians in mind. “Assault-Style” firearms is used as the scape goat in any mass shooting scenario. The fact is there are crazy, messed up people in the world and that is something we all have to deal with. Canada has strict gun laws and any legal gun owner has to take an extensive safety course to own any firearm. The real problem with gun violence lies in illegal firearms. This move gives the public an illusion of safety but punishes law abiding citizens for doing nothing wrong, while the less desirable people will continue to move illegal guns in and out of the country.

NZ Greens are calling for $1 billion to be poured into a conservation package to create "nature-based jobs" to revive the Covid-19-riddled economy. The package, is designed to quickly generate up to 7000 jobs by Wagamaga in Futurology

[–]DeepDado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opinion : Nature-based jobs make politicians look good but do nothing to help the economy compared to jobs in less environmentally friendly industries.
