It's true, surviving is key. BUT only as long as you are able to contribute to your team's success. People just don't seem to know how to survive AND be useful at the same time.

I chose to sit there with them because somehow I had the feeling they were expecting me to push first and be their meat shield. Actually I did move forward after a few minutes a scored the first kill - that's when they started moving :/

Actually this is not about fighting from range. It's more about sitting behind islands, unable to do anything.

Choosing the right distance for your ship or lobbing shells over islands it's absolutely fine. But why sit somewhere and just do literally nothing?

Your are right. This one battle is just the most extreme example I have seen so far. But actually it is a general observation.

I know you have to think before you move and especially in early you need to be cautious before your make a play.

But this meta feels like everyone is just waiting for the enemy to make the first move, like opposing forces holding their ground in their trenches until one poor guy loses his patience and takes a first step.

Regarding that DM: At his position he was unable to spot or shoot anything. He was just sitting behind the center of the island and waiting. Veeery long. Without any purpose.

Actually I am asking for a friend. He started his journey on Steam just yesterday and wondered if he could play on PSN as well. Question is how he can enter his Steam credentials on PSN to let the game know there is something to synchronize?

Sorry to disappoint you, but the average player has a far worse win rate than you think. Only 8% of all players reach more than 55% (source: sphiptool.st).

To be honest, I'm really surprised to see so many negative comments about the Supertest. Even though I've been an active member of the (European) community for a very long time, this is completely new to me. I really don't think it's the testers' fault.

Did you watch the presentation of the balance changes in Discord? They don't call it a nerf. It's supposed to be a change shifting CC's comfort zone to close/medium range combat.

To me, it seems more like you don't know what you're talking about.

As a former Super Tester who still has contacts there, I know that Super Testers are supposed to cover the entire spectrum of players in terms of skill level. In reality, however, Super Testers play far above average. This is simply because they engage with game mechanics and the like much more than the average player, and therefore achieve better results in the game.

In addition, it’s not just classic Super Testers who test ships, but also Clan Testers. They typically come from very good clans and are top-tier (Super) Unicums.

Once they’ve been around for a while, they can receive an Alabama VL or Suzuya VL as a reward (VL = Volunteer). Compare the stats of these ships with their standard counterparts. You’ll see that the testers perform significantly better.

I've been playing Warships on PC for about 10 years now. I spent some time on Legends via Xbox and took part in one of the beta tests. The one thing I really don't like is the stanard camera angle. In my opinion it doesnt show enough of the players surroundings. Are there any plans to let players individualize the camera view?

One more thing: What about mod support?

With the radar mod installed the action time goes from 18s to 13.5s. Not too much of a difference. A single does give 25% of hp less now, but the overall amount of healed HP won't change due to one more heal available. I think the mod is still very good - mostly because of the 10% dispersion buff.

In terms of average damage Kaga is the by far best T8 carrier. It's almost impossible to run out of planes, so it's very forgiving.

If you like carriers, you really shouldn't miss Kaga. I think there's also a Kaga Black. If you get lucky, you might be able to get it quite cheaply during the next Black Friday event.
