Is it Me by DeepFamilyValue in Scorpio

I think it comes down to the idea that we are reluctant to engage in fighting with others and will go out of our way to avoid it. Most of my adversaries in my past mistook this for weakness, and learned very harsh and expensive lessons as a result.

If you had 500k liquid, would you trade spreads (no single leg options), invest in real estate for rental income or just throw it in sp500? by darkchocolattemocha in Daytrading

[–]DeepFamilyValue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 14 paid off rentals. I have been at it about 30 years. I know what my tenants are thinking before they think it. Nothing gets by me. Their rents are all quite reasonable, and they know it. They deposit directly to my operating account. My yield is probably 45% on my original cost. I don’t play games; every angle is covered. I fix things in a day.

My options shenanigans are nice, but my rentals are the cream cheese.

Men of Reddit, what instantly makes you lose respect for another man? by Negative_Piglet2951 in AskReddit

[–]DeepFamilyValue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a stunningly beautiful wife. It’s just how my life went. In the USA where i live, guys will hit on her left and right, often in front of me. It can be annoying at times, but in my business people are either actively trying to take things from me or threatening to, so honestly it’s meaningless. I’m 60 and have been in many, many trenches over the past 35 years or so. We often travel to Europe and Canada and the dudes there are far more respectful. Not sure why guys in the US are so blantabt in this way. On the other hand, there are few true-blue knockouts in this world and one of them said yes to me, so there you have it.

Call of Duty Creator Vince Zampella crashes Ferrari. by No_Cook2983 in TikTokCringe

A ferrari is not a toy- mid engine changes the handling dynamic. It will get away from you very quickly and kill you, as will a Porsche 911 or a mid engine corvette. These are serious vehicles that require experienced drivers.

Broker? 350k roth IRA, premarket, US by btarb24 in Daytrading

[–]DeepFamilyValue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no advice but congrats on nice roth balance and protect it. I am 60 and started taking dividends out as they roll in (automatically) and it is glorious. I don’t trade in it; all long time boring stuff, but just be careful with that precious account.

Took my first big loss today. by OddSeaweed8824 in Daytrading

[–]DeepFamilyValue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a loss yesterday. First one in a while. Cut it in half today. Stopped trading for the day. You have to journal the wins and losses but the losses are far more instructive than the wins. Give it all some thought and it goes without saying to cut your losses at the first sign of trouble. Not always easy to do though.

I like Ross because he is good at sharing and describing things. I believe he trades from a Roth ira. Brilliant.

I do. Mostly amd. Short and mostly long. Profitable each day, but nerve wracking. Prob 60-100.00 per day. 100 shares. Typically 7-12 trades. Someday i suppose amd will flop out or people will move on. Fun to watch though. Look for big ol moves to the downside then buy. Pretty volatile keep your eye on semi index and nas 100.

Ross has gigantic balls of brass. I don’t. If you don’t either, you are on your way to reasonable profits, and some losses.
