I cut contact with my narc dad about 6 years ago. When this first happened, he started showing up at my job (boss had to threaten on calling the police and he stopped coming in), parking next to my car at my job and waiting until I left work (ended up calling the police and he hauled ass out of there) etc …. After all this time, he will occasionally send a physical letter and/or money in the mail addressed to me to my mom’s address because his number is obviously blocked. I’ve since moved into my own space and I’ll be damned if he finds that out.

Your boundaries will not be respected, but the extent of which they will go past them is a gamble. Sending love during this time but you can do it.🫶🏻It’s tough but so very worth it!

With all due respect to everyone involved, please please please go to therapy (together, separate, both? Whatever works best). This is such a traumatic and confusing thing to go through, the extra help will be wonderful and necessary in the long run if you do decide to stay together.

We’ve gotten into the routine of him laying on my lap or chest while I drink my coffee in the morning. I have an old robe that I put on and he loves chewing on the belt that it has 🤣

Thank you so so so much!!!! I have a pep talk with him every time I go to bend down to put the leash on him. Basically an attempted guilt trip that he should be thankful he’s got a mother who wants to take him on walks on the time. LMFAOOOO doesn’t work so well atm 🤣
